Of course, "The Island" is just a rip-off of MST3K staple "Parts, the Clonus Horror".

That's one I've missed. I must try to find it. Thumb Up

Eliza + Josh = Sex = Good show LMFAO!
I enjoyed the premiere, and hope that FOX doesn't give it the boot!

I loved Buffy & Angel, so I was looking forward to this show. I was kinda disappointed with it. Seeing Amy Acker from Angel was a nice surprise. Wonder if he's gonna rehire anyone else from those shows.

If that's the case, it's the only reason I'll be tuning-in again this Friday, lol. It'll be like catching up with old friends.

The 2nd episode was faster paced and more violent, but the whole hunting people thing has been done before. It also introduced the maniac Alpha who, along with the FBI guy, seems to want to bring down the Dollhouse. Of course now it looks like a high priced prostitution ring, along with the whole expert thing. Also Management is getting pretty annoying with all the double talk.

I think I'm going to lose all interest in this show before it even begins to make any sense. IF it has any sense to make. Confused

I'm so not getting the "prostitution" angle of the show. It's not as if there aren't cheaper to get highly qualified normal boys & girls out there that won't have handlers/pimps watching the entire episode. lol

I didn't get why the director of the dollhouse would be so scared of killing an F.B.I. agent when she send squads of killer dolls out to do just that indescriminately? And leaving the glasses behind was sloppy for "professionals."

And I'm thinking that Amy Acker's character is a retired doll that has been imprinted with a doctors personality once she became useless as a scarred doll? It makes me wonder how many people in the organization are who they think they are.

Of course, I usually get these guesses of mine wrong. lol

I think your dead-on about Acker's character and they could all be role playing. This week we got flashbacks and why the FBI guy is involved hasn't come out. The missing pilot may have had more background. Echo will be starting to remember things, as the hand gesture indicated.

The thing is, next week she's protecting a rock star. Couldn't a regular bodyguard do it? For a super secret organization they seem to be listed in the Yellow Pages.

I guess if I'm thinking about these plot holes I'm not enjoying it. Big Grin

At this point I'm thinking they're advertising on Craig's List.

Or how about Dollhouse Temps?

Their motto: "We do any job or our name isn't . . . Uh Oh!" Eek

Or they could advertise it as a specialty store like "Build a Doll".

My nieces used to love to go to this store down here called Build a Bear at which they could make their own teddy's in whatever profession they wanted.

Well this is the last time I'll be writing about the Dollhouse because there must be something better I can do with an hour of my time than waste it on this garbage. Big Grin

Tonight's episode looked like bad tryouts for American Idol. The plot made no sense at all and was just an excuse for short skirts, band aid tops and bare midriffs. Eliza got to sing, whoopee, and we got to hear the same song about 4 times. I really am pretty disappointed with Joss, everything about this series is so terrible its not even worth making fun of anymore.

Keep me posted if anyone sticks with it, but I'm done. Roll Eyes

so did you catch it at the end, when Echo walked past the "Australian" girl and shook her head?

Do you think that Echo is starting to remember her past "assignments" more and more?

I actually like the episode, with the FBI informant getting "wiped" and leading him to a trap and he kicked some but after getting shot which I found interesting

The way Echo solved the problem she was sent in to solve by thinking outside the box after she realized the person who wanted the singer dead was the singer.

And as pointed out the aussie girl(if she is) smiling and Echo shaking her off.

I don't see the show lasting past a year with eliza, kind of like Dark Angel they worked everything out in the first year then had to wing it the second one. Once she figures out who she is there is pretty much no going back lol..

I noticed the Echo/Sierra shake at the end of the episode. Plus you can also take that Echo was also interested in saving Sierra since she remembered "friends help each other".
This job style might have been better in the second episode to get past the idea that all dolls ever do is go out on dates.
So far there are ups and down in the show but since there is nothing on Scifi Fridays I want to watch this will do in the meantime. Plus I still have hope that Joss will pull it together.
