Over the last two weeks I crash-watched Season 5 Of Alias. WOW! Back on form or what. S5 is waaaaaaaay better than season 3 & 4.
Although the ending was a bit rushed and we never quite find out what "The Horizon" did.
I Loved it.

Love to see an Alias Movie now.

I'm struggling with Alias Season 4 (had the same with season 3) but I really wanna see all the episodes so I will go on and start Season 5 in a week or 2.

Hopefully I will find time to check Casino Royale and Spiderman 2 in a few weeks.

Wolfie...

Watch Firefly first. All of it, in the order it appears on the DVDs. Enjoy it! I am envious that you are a FF virgin - I remember when I first watched it and how much I enjoyed it. Metal

I was the same with Alias seasons 3 & 4, it took me ages to plow through them. I just couldn't get any enthusiasm to watch the next episode.
Season 5 However REALLY cames back to form and I couldn't watch them fast enough. So it's worth watching S4 because you have S5 to look forward too.

agreed, Michael Ironsides rules in that flick - thats the first movie I remember him being in, and I thought "wow, what a great villain he makes"

This has to be the most beautiful film to look at that i have ever seen. Every frame of film is like an oil painting.

Don't mind me for finally responding to a post that's over 3 months old, but I'm killing time waiting for some eBay auctions to end.

Wolfie you're right on the mark about this being one of the most eye catching movies of all time. I've seen a number of these Chinese movies lately and they are really coming out with some visually stunning movies.

They remind me of some of the classic Technicolor westerns that Hollywood produced way back when. I was watching "Shane" a week or so ago and those massive mountians are simply breathtaking.

Now that I've said all of this, what did you actually think of the movie? My wife and I weren't to happy with this ending of this one.

From Dusk Till Dawn
???????????????
Outlaw Josey Wales

i always think of Josey Wales when I watch Firefly. You have the soldier who was on the losing side of the war and his band of misfits justtrying to get by wandering through the wilderness(space) just wanting to be left alone

The second one would give away the TV Quote answer.

Funny you should mention Eastwood.
The first time I saw the scene where he asks for red paint reminded me of High Plains Drifer Metal

Charlotte's Web (2006 live action version)
I found this one to be rather dull. I love the book and enjoy the animated version but this one not so much.

Who Killed the Electric Car?
A decent doc about an apparent conspiracy to rid the world of electric cars. Even though I agree with the message, the film itself is over the top and too one-sided.

Rocky Balboa
This one was surprisingly good. It's got a real sense of nostalgia and is very aware of itself and the mystique of the franchise. Stallone actually has a knack for writing really good dialogue too.

Here are my last 3 DVD's:
SMOKIN ACES: Lots of blood in this one. A nice twist at the end. A Mathew Fox sighting as well. Well worth the money!
FULL CONTACT: Chow Yun Fat and Simon Yam, what else do I need to say. For $5 at Wallyworld it can't be beat.
BOB MARLEY AT THE RAINBOW: The legend himself at the peak of his game. A really great concert from the UK featuring all of Bob's hits.
