Watched the whole Nightmare on Elm Street series this week with the extra Encyclopedia.

It's are just 7 movies + extras.

First one is the best but I like them all, certainly how they are all involved and follow on each other.

Shutter - nice asian horror movie - bit of Eye, bit of Ju-on, but good all the same

A Scanner Darkly - was hoping for a bit more from this but it was a solid movie with some great freak out moments courtesy of Downey & Harrelson (wierdly simmilar to some I have experienced)

Forever Hardcore - covered all the main points from the unique perspective of the people who were there at the time but some of them were allowed to ramble at times, could have been much tighter - informative & enjoyable though.

Only had time to watch Hot Fuzz recently. Not as good as Shaun of the Dead but still very funny.

The first Nightmare on Elm Street is definately the best and I've been wanting to see A Scanner Darkly for awhile. Just can't find it in my local video place.

The last DVD I watched was this cheesy psychological drama called 'Three'. I guessed the 'twists' too early - I hate it when I do that.

That's just a sick movie. I've watched all their episodes and the movie but there is a point when it's unpleasant for the viewer also. I've loved the 'jackas' ones a lot more then this one.

It's that last movieword a curseword in America because it was *** when I saw my post.

I just watched an oldie but a (not so) goodie...Battle for the Planet of the Apes. I hadn't seen it in forever and wanted to check it out again. Man, is it bad! The plot line is totally screwed up and the supposed time frame of the movie is WAAAAY out of line.

They should have stopped after the fourth movie, in my opinion.

Kelly's Heroes
Quatermass And The Pit
Clash Of The Titans

I also tried watching Starcrash and Vampirella but didn't make it throgh either one. Starcrash at least had some camp appeal and Caroline Munro. All copies of Vampirella should be destroyed. It was dreadful.

Norbit - Was suprised by how good this movie was. Had some really funny moments, most of them belong to the character of Rasputia, the chinese man and the old lady shop owner towards the end. A movie not to be taken seriously to be hilarious.

Cube - Brilliant movie, kept a nice pace throughout and has some good twists. An original concept (when it was released), we need more films like this.

American History X - Loved this movie, I thought that Edward Norton was amazing. I didn't agree with the end though, felt it was just for the shock factor.

'The Messengers' - still trying to figure out who or what 'the messengers' were or are.

'Constantine' - I never get tired of that movie. I love the guy who plays Lucifer Smokin'

I did see 'Cube' up in Canada - I though it was very original at the time and I do have to agree that we need more movies like this one.

1) The Fifth Element - visual fun
2) Happy Gilmore - refreshingly brainless
3) Diamonds Are Forever - so terrible its good

before them...

1) Aliens Director's Cut - way better than the theatrical version, makes it even more of an epic
2) Alien 3 Special Edition - not as good as the theatrical version
3) Alien Resurrection - again nowhere near as good as the theatrical version

Thanks, now for the whole thing again with director commentaries.

Then about 20 hours of documentaries.

Kath & Kim Series 3 - Such a funny show, kinda like the UK version of The Office, you have to "get it" to find it funny.

Open Season - I had no idea it was Ashton Kutcher that did the voice of the moose, he was such an adorably funny character. It is a predictable movie and it felt a tad rushed, but overall its a nice little movie.

Cry Wolf - Not too sure about this one. It did keep me guessing at parts but they made the ending too obvious with the "cryptic" messages throughout. Enjoyable movie though.
