Just saw the latest Will Smith offering. Very good for the most part, but I would like to have seen a small flashback of his origin. I also read that the last half hour was re-filmed because the test audience didn't like the ending. Let's hope there is some seamless branching on the DVD Thumb Up

I saw "Hancock" last Wednesday. I thought it was a bit uneven in places by I liked it. There was one really out of place scene imo but overall, I'd recommend it.

Looking forward to seeing it this weekend, even though the reviews have been mostly lukewarm. I think the makers wanted to do a serious character study of a flawed hero while still drawing hugh box office with action sequences. Movies that lack conviction to be one thing or the other often wind up uneven.

But hey, its Will Smith. So far the best summer movie I've seen is still Iron Man.

I thought the movie was..... good. The worst of the summer movies Ive seen so far.
It started out good, funny parts. Solid story. Then the movie comes to a point where it goes all over. And, the Hancock character, being an A-hole early in the movie, is still an A-hole after his renewal.
Take the POwers comic back story & that of Highlander, & you have the one in this movie.
Worth a watch, but a renter.

I saw this yesterday. It was too uneven for me. It was like they knew they had a bunch of good ideas but did not know how to put them together. I left the movie thinking, "well, it was only a hour and a half".
