hi guys i just been listening to bad to the bone by zz topps and it was originally dont by a blues singer not too sure on his name but could anybody tell me the name of the guitar used in the song it sounds amazing

If you can dig up their older material do it! In my opinion, "Maverick" was their last decent album; "Born to be Bad" wasn't too bad, but it just didn't have that special Oooomph! if you dig.
