Theodore Bikel passed away last week at the age of 91. He had a long and distinguished acting career, but is best known as the star of Fiddler on the Roof. RIP Mr. Bikel.

You can find his autograph card in the Twilight Zone: The Next Dimension set, A30 I believe. In the past year we have lost a number of the fine actors who appeared in the Twilight Zone and contributed their signatures.

I'm afraid that there won't be much chance to make another TZ set unless it gets done very quickly as not many guest stars other than the child actors would be able to sign.

Various sites are now reporting the passing of Yvonne Craig at the age of 78. She was best known as Batgirl on the 60's Batman series.

I met Yvonne over 20 years ago at Birmingham Memorabilia. It was in the days when there were only one or two stars there to sign. I was in a huge queue of three. Spent over an hour talking to her and I came away floating. A really lovely person.

Sorry to hear this news. She was very good for the hobby, making a lot of personal appearances over the years. Although everybody remembers Batgirl, she did quite a bit of work and has certified autograph cards in several sets. RIP Ms. Craig.

Architect of endless nightmares, both real and imagined. Rest in peace, Wes. Thanks for all the thrills and chills.

Martin Milner passed away today. His biggest non-sport card connection was a Twilight Zone chase card and autograph card and the Adam-12 test set. He had been acting since 1947 (!).

Mr. Milner sure was a handsome fellow, very apple pie in that way. His episode of TZ, "Mirror Image" with Vera Miles was a good one. I remember watching and loving "Adam-12" as a kid (in it's early syndicated run, not the original airings, not being quite that old).

Also, British actress Judy Carne passed away, probably most famous from "Laugh-In" in the 1960's, in which she helped to popularize the "Sock It To Me!" catch phrase ultimately uttered on the show by no less than the sitting President of the United States, Richard Nixon. She may have appeared in the vintage card set based on the show.

Rest in peace, Martin and Judy.

Jean Darling, one of the kids from the 1920s Our Gang films, before they became the Little Rascals, died at age 93

Jean Darling was one of the very last people alive who had been in the pre-talkie era of silent movies.

Dean Jones, who was in "The Love Bug" and a slew of other Disney movies from the 1960s and 1970s died last week (Sept 1).

Not card related, but I just read that Gary Richrath, former lead guitarist for REO Speewagon, passed away.

Sad news.

REO Speedwagon, masters of the power ballad, do have a nice card in the early 1990's ProSet Musicards set, #225, so Gary is likely shown on that provided he was still in the band at that time.

Just a couple days after Jean Darling died, another of the Our Gang kids passed --- Dickie Moore.

And Jack Larson, played Jimmy Olson on the 1950s Superman show, just passed away.

Margaret Lanterman, The Log Lady is no more.

“One day”, the Log Lady said, “the sadness will end”.

When?

Rest in peace, Catherine E. Coulson.
