Ruslana Korshunova commits suicide

New York (ANI): The death of Ruslana Korshunova, a stunning Kazakh supermodel who once graced the cover of Russian Vogue, has been ruled a suicide by police. However, Korshunova's friend Kira Titeneva said that there was no way the model would have killed herself because she was full of life and never appeared troubled.

"There's no way she would have killed herself. She loved life so much," the New York Daily News quoted her, as saying. "She was my best friend. I talked to her [Friday] night and we were talking all the gossip," she added.

The 20-year-old was found dead outside her downtown Manhattan building on June 28 afternoon after eyewitnesses described seeing a body plunge from a balcony. "All I saw was something moving out of the corner of my eye, and then boom. It sounded like a bass drum when she hit the ground," Steve Metzger said.

Investigators said there were no signs of a struggle inside Korshunova's apartment and believe she jumped from her balcony, according to a law enforcement source. And on June 29, police ruled the model's death a suicide. Megan Cuccia, a spokeswoman for the city's medical examiner, said that Korshunova died from blunt impact injuries.

Police said her family had not yet been notified.

Wow.... how sad that someone so young and with so much potential should end their lives so early.

Someone I know commited suicide last night, it's the second person in less then an a month that I know.. One did it because he was afraid he would lose his home and not be able to take care of his wife and child.. The other was at one time the richest person I knew(personally) but with bad investments and his wife seriously ill he took his own life last night

I don't buy the suicide line. I don't know why, i just don't.
