Sean, you have no idea how you made my day by showing me those marvelous sketches. You are a great artist and I hope that, one day, I will own a piece of art done by you.

Has this happened to anyone else? I bought a box of Heroes today because it was discounted and I pulled the Claire red swatch costume card right away. So that was the insert, but I always open the rest of the packs because I'm not going to try to pawn them off on some unsuspecting person and I can make another set anyway.

Lo and behold I get a Jeff Chandler 1/1 sketch, its a colored characture of the split personality staring at each other in the mirror. Quite decent as these are running. So has this been happening, or is it just a lucky break to catch a costume and sketch in the same box? Clap It was a sealed box by the way.

It's not common but from what I've seen from breakdowns it happens occasionally, roughly about the same odds as getting NO hit from a box.

I got a Noah Albrecht sketck from the same box as a Parkman costume. That was the only 2-hitter out of roughly 5 cases.

Does anyone know how many sketches Lord Mesa contributed? Was it 56?

Thanks

He is one of the artists there were no numbers from but there are currently 7 on ebay and 12 more recently ended so my guess would be he is in the 100-150 range.

Thanks for the response Incarnadine. Two different people told me it was 56, but one of those people said "don't take it as gospel." After hearing your suggestion of 100 - 150, it's a bit of a mystery! It's just I'm in the process of selling my sketch (NOT advertising by the way) and don't want to be misleading in any way by continuing to state the run as 56. I guess short of contacting Lord Mesa himself, nobody knows for sure! Confused

I picked up my case of HEROES from work yesterday and decided to start opening the boxes while watching TV. The first box gave me another Hiro shirt costume card but the box beneath it yielded this:

I really should be in bed but I got so excited I had to scan the card and post this. Yay! Now I wonder if I should open the other six boxes or just hold on to them "for later".

Yay!

I was thinking the same thing but decided to open some more boxes. The first box I opened I got on of Grant Gould's Claire profile sketches which, to be honest, didn't thrill me, but having one in hand to look closer at (and seeing some of his other sketches online) has made me appreciate it much more. Still not a big money maker, but not as big a disappointment as I would have thought.

The next box contained a Michael Duron sketch of Parkman (I'm guessing, the arm covers a lot of his face but he's in a police uniform) engaged in a gun battle with someone off-screen (off-card?) which makes me wonder if it's part of a puzzle or diptych of some kind. A nice sketch and I was even happier when I saw what similar sketches were selling for online. Not huge amounts, but definately worth it.

The third box had a costume card, this time Isaac's shirt with a decent amount of paint spatter. Not so great, but not a Parkman.

After a few hours and quite a bit of deliberation I decided to open one of the last three. I mixed them up and chose a box at random...and got a Parkman. Stopped me stone dead.

Now I think I'll save the last two boxes since statistically they'll just be more costumes.

Congrats on the Claire auto UberBob. Though if it was me I'd go ahead and open the other boxes as well. You never know... you might get the Claire patch costume card. Big Grin Thumb Up
