Most of us believed that with increased sketch card #'s (from 3000 original projection to over 6000 ) that the sketch cards would be 4-5 case , auto.'s 2-3 and costume cards the case chase. Seems like they took the 4 costume pieces a LONG way with current odds having a case yield 4-5. Guess they were unable to secure a high number of auto.'s from any of the cast members and the sketch cards???? Am I alone on being confused by these odds
Topps has already released information that they are planning 2 more Heroes releases this year (2008) Thats where all the other cards are. Don't forget the autos are not autographed cards, they are autographed stickers placed on cards. So Topps can have a truck load of the autographed stickers and limit their release at will. quote: Originally posted by Rich With Cards: It pans out that topps slightly conned us in my opinion they stated this would be a limited run but it would seem the production is a bit higher than expected if we look at 6000 sketches total. It would mean about 2 sketches per case meaning 2500-3000 cases then 20k-24k boxes. This set is not limited based on these numbers in my opinion.
Read what I posted above. I still think this release is limited, just the cards will be used over 2 more releases for this year.

I pulled 8/11 autos. Missing Adrian Pasdar, Noah Gray-Cabey, and of course Hayden Panettiere. Have an extra of Sendhil. It should also be known that Hiros signature is prob going to tick some people off, just a little mark really. Also, Milo did not sign his entire name like the sample on the Topps site, he only signed Milo. I am a little let down by this. I definetly did not do well with my cases. My sketches were pretty awful, I only pulled two or three that were really detailed, and although Color is NOT the norm (I know) I did not pull a single color sketch. All of my sketches are for trade and will go up on Ebay to go towards the three missing autos and the impossible patch card. I will get scans up after the weekened, I do not want to tick anyone off by breaking the street date.
Hmm, definitely interested to see your breakdowns and how many cards each case contains. ____________________ Some of my traders: Star*Mystyk, davelennox, Jack London, Chris Byrne, TAT, spidergoblin, Brimaster, cverdec, mac13, mars53, Ryan Cracknell, wuher, angelchick182, FRANK AMICO, batmancity, Card Reaper, Over_Worked_Mom, Dewman, THX2112, venom5liter, batmancity, barobehere, KADRAN00157, browninga5m, trade-a-card, FCB, wolfie, ghostrider666, Brian A. I have to say i am disappointed but not surprised at the breakdown.I always felt that the costumes would be the most common as they are the easiest and cheapest to obtain and produce.I would not be surprised if they had multiples of the three male costumes. More concerned by the comments about the sketch card quality.I hope that the brilliant sketches we have seen posted are in these boxes and not being held back for future releases. I am a natural pessimist so hope to be pleasantly surprised by my two cases .

Well, in regards to the sketches, most artists would show their best ones so........ ____________________ Some of my traders: Star*Mystyk, davelennox, Jack London, Chris Byrne, TAT, spidergoblin, Brimaster, cverdec, mac13, mars53, Ryan Cracknell, wuher, angelchick182, FRANK AMICO, batmancity, Card Reaper, Over_Worked_Mom, Dewman, THX2112, venom5liter, batmancity, barobehere, KADRAN00157, browninga5m, trade-a-card, FCB, wolfie, ghostrider666, Brian A. Imagine the collector who is chasing a particular artist and sketch based on what that artist posted to realize that their chase is ,well.... fruitless ! JMHO If cards were posted to be in THIS product Topps would put themselves in a precarious position if they held back half for a future release .
I think you scenario would be correct "if" Topps officially released pics of the sketches for the set. To my knowledge, Topps did not. So there is no misrepresentation.

Correct. TOPPS hasn't updated the sketch card artist list on it's page in quite some time either so any artists that aren't on that list could be held back for future releases too, and that is almost half the artists accounted for. What I don't like about this is (if it turns out to be the case) is that the sketch card design is all the same, if cards are to be used for releases other than this one the cards should say "Heroes Update" or "Heroes season 2". ____________________ "Man muss entweder der Hammer oder der Amboss sein" (you must be the hammer or the anvil)

I just finished checking out the scans Bryan was kind enough to post in the Box Breakdown section. When I read his first post about his opinion of the sketches he had pulled I figured it was more a matter of taste than actual quality, afterall wasn't a major reason for the long delay in releasing this product the fact that every sketch had to be approved? Didn't we read a number of posts about artists getting sketches rejected? Surely the quality of the sketches our artist friends had posted along with this review process boded well for this product. Having seen the actual scans, I can say that Bryan is right on. While I can't say any of them are outright dogs, none of them are anywhere near the quality I was expecting considering what we've seen posted here and on various sites. I am also surprised by the number of costume cards, which were in Bryan's cases. Considering the number of boxes, which were supposedly printed, they seen pretty common. I expected the ratio of sketches to costumes to be reversed. I guess we will know a bit more, once other people start scoring their boxes/cases. Good luck to everyone else. ____________________ I drink your milkshake. I drink it up!

Release date v delivery date are 2 different things. I believe the release date is the date they can be sold, dealers usually get the product in before that date
