Has there been any information as to if Topps will be shipping in January?

Well I haven't heard from the person I've purchased them from about the January 23rd release, but that appears to be the date as I've read it in several places now.

Lets all hope it will ship then

We have passed over 5600 sketches just from the numbers of the artists we know. We are well past TOPPS early estimate of 3000 sketches from 30 artists (my guess is it'll be about 7500 from 50 artists now). This means:

A- Sketches will be the main insert, possibly 4 or 5 to a case
B- TOPPS cranked up the presses and redefined what they think "limited" means.
C- We might end up with a bit more than 1 big hit per box. I'm hoping maybe an 8 box case might average 10 or even 12 big hits (auto/costume/sketch)


Hopefully it is option C or A and not B.

I can't wait to crack the two cases I ordered! I am SO excited for this set. Come on Jan 23!!!

I juse hope that the quality of sketches stays consistent.It is always a little worrying when an artist who has done 50 sketches then does 10 times that number in the second lot.

To answer your question....................Yes

As long as the review process stays the same I don't think we should have any quality issues.

Had there been no studio checks in place, then I would definitely have been worried.

I emalied the guys I purchased my boxes from yesterday and got the reply today. They still have the date as the 23rd and my boxes are guaranteed should it end up being allocated.

16 days to go before the highly anticipated release of the Heroes and LOTR MP 2 sets!!!

I don't expect anymore delays on Heroes but I'm in total shock that LOTR Masterpieces 2 hasn't had any announced delays(yet).

Hee hee, me too, I kinda expected LOTR MP 2 to have some delays but up till now, still going on schedule....

I know of several artists that have until a new deadline of 1/14 to submit additional requested cards. I would find it almost IMPOSSIBLE that Topps would be able to turnaround these cards /package the product and ship within a week to be released on 1/23/08. Also, to compete with another highly anticipated release that was delayed several times would be poor marketing... BUT it is Topps. I am hearing first week of February

They do release in waves once in awhile. So dont count out the release date for LOTR yet.
