I picked one of these redemptions up a while back, obviously hoping for someone good to be signing, and after over 10 months (entered un UD website on 4/21/2007) the "status" on it has changed from "Athlete committed to signing soon, please be patient." to "Waiting for stock to be confirmed and shipped." No idea who I'll be getting but I wouldn't be adverse to a "Fergie" auto.

Anyone else get one of these redemptions?

Are these the same as Spectrum of the Stars, or is it a different subset?

Yup, these are Spectrum of the stars Celebrity autographs. There were a whole bunch you could pull from packs like, Tiffany, Catherine Bach, Josh Duhamel, Kristy McNichol, etc... but there were redemptions for mystery celebrities, you wouldn't know who you got until it showed up in the mail and those were different from the ones you could pull directly from the boxes. There was a list of who you might get but I can only remember Ed O'Neil, Katey Sagal and Fergie (from the Black Eyed Peas).

I'm in the same boat as you Incarnadine. I entered my redemption cards on the UD site a very long time ago and almost forgot all about it until I recently found out they are going to send out the Mystery autographs in March which is next month.

From one of the Upper Deck Press releases:

"The celebrities included in the Spectrum of Stars Mystery Redemptions have been announced as Katey Sagal, Michael Madsen, Ed O’Neil, Danny Bonaduce (Print Run Unannounced), Fergie (Print Run Unannounced), and Ernest Borgnine (Print Run Unannounced)."

However, I would believe Carrot Top should also be included in the above list.

You should be getting a bonus in the mail shortly. I just checked my mail and got something from UD, I actually thought it might be my Mystery Celebrity auto but instead it was 2 "complimentary cards"

The note says:

"We appreciate your patience and support on our fulfillment process. We are working diligently to have your item completed much earlier, but unfortunately that did not take place. We have updated the status of your item on-line and we hope to have it available for you in the coming weeks.

I got 2 cards, a 2005-06 SP Authentic sign of the times Marcel Hossa autograph and a 2003 UD Portraits Paul Kariya Hockey Headliners jersey card (1 big green swatch). Nothing earth shattering, they are probably worth $4 combined but at least it's a nice gesture.

i'm glad to see i'm not the only one waiting for one of these..

i'd be quite content with a madsen or fergie card.. since katey segal, ed o'neil and ernest borgnine have autograph cards in the market now, i'd be less excited about getting one of them.. red heads carrot top and danny bonaduce would be kinda disappointing..

My preference would be:

1- Fergie
2- Katey Sagal
3- Ed o'Neil
4- Michael Madsen

any of the others would be... disappointing.

I hope everyone here who is waiting on these posts who they get.

There is actually a redemption on "that" auction site, I'm actually amazed at the current price it has been bid up to.

You know, I can't really say I'd be disappointed with any of those announced. If I got one I'd prefer to have it be either Katey Sagal or Ed O'Neil as I'm a big fan of Married With Children and Futurama, but I can't say I'd be "disappointed" with the others.


Well ok maybe if I got Carrot Top....

That's about double what I paid I think. I certainly didn't expect those redemptions to go up in price. Maybe it's because people know they are about to be redeemed finally.

Darn it!! I didn't get Fergie or Michael Madsen. Instead, I got Debbie Gibson. Not bad I suppose, but this card really pisses me off because the stickers they used are too freakin small!! There are wayyyyy too many pen strokes that have disappeared into oblivion. This is why I am so against sticker autographs.

And to top it off, it's not even numbered.

Interesting. Debbie Gibson was not on the UD list of Mystery signers. I wonder who else they got?

Did yours have any additional notation? I see one already up on a certain auction site and it is signed in green ink and she added "Lost in your eyes".

nope.. nothing.. just a cut off black autograph.. i love UD's quality to these 'rare' and special redemption cards .. pitiful!

The Michael Madsen and Katey Sagal autos are on that famous auction site now. The Madsen auto is just a couple of m's or loops.

Got mine in the mail today, a simple blue ink autograph of Katey Sagal. I'm fairly happy, not a huge auto like Fergie would have been but Katey was on my short list of autos I'd be happy with. Now if they could just get Christina Applegate to sign I could get the whole Bundy family.

Interesting that there are 4 Sagal autos on the bay right now, 1 red ink (with peg bundy added to her sig) and 3 black ink. I wonder if my blue ink is tougher to get.
