If 2 out of 3 is good enough for Meatloaf, then it's good enough for me. Thank you very much for your help. Thumb Up

I noticed the white border (box) of the Peter auto/costumecard is the right size!! All autocards should have been that way!! It looks a lot better (and I mean A LOT) this way.

Anyone seen any other auto/costume cards where the white box is the correct size? Or is it just the Peter auto/costume card?

For everone's sake I hope Topps still got a couple hundred of stickers left to make new autocards for those who missed out because of dud boxes. If they do can they also adjust the size of the white box on the card?!!

Hi Everyone I have opened 5 cases and to say the least I am very upset about this set after all the hype and now False promises placed by Topps here is my break down :

Case 1

Autos

Sandra bennet
Molly walker

Sketches x 4

Costumes

West
Claire
Maya

Case 2

autos x 1

Dana Davis

Sketches x 5

Costumes x 2

maya
Noah Bennet

Case 3

Autos x 1
Ando

Sketches x 3

Costumes x 3

Nathan
Maya x 2

Case 4 My best one

Autos x 2

Mohinder
Niki Sanders

Sketches x 3

costumes x 3

West
Elle x 2

Dual Costume : Peter/Elle

Case 5 Worst of the bunch

Autos

Mohinder
The haitian

Sketches x 2

Costumes x 2

Monica
Peter

From these 5 cases I had 9 Dud boxes over a case worth of wastage I feel this is outrageous after the hype produced by topps with their flyers which we have all seen. Also 7 premium inserts down which would adjust to the autos I have missed out on. It was only the presence of additional hotboxes which helped me out.

Unless I can get a reply from Topps on this matter I will not order their sets again.

Topps have said on this topic that they will honour the 9 hits per case.Of course the problem for people like Rich with Cards and myself is the time and expense in sending the reqiured proof of purchases back to Topps from the UK.

It's not cheap to send anything heavy by airmail and there is the added expense of insrance to cover loss by the post office Frown .

I'm just hoping I get lucky with my cases.

8 Cases opened:

1 - I repeat, 1 Autograph Card

13 Dud Boxes

2 Cases with no Hot Box

That means I'm short 15 cards and only 1 of my cards was an autograph.

What is going on here? Honestly, this is not just a random box or 2 short, for us this was nearly 25% duds! Topps....What is going on here?

Well it seems the big problem is how the autographs were seeded. Virtually all the shorted cases got roughly the stated odds for costumes and sketches but were short autos while the super loaded cases seem to have the vast majority of extra hits as autographs. I hope TOPPS has stockpiled lots of stickers, they are going to get a lot of replacement requests. Still hoping that when my cases finally arrive they are from a "loaded" source.

Its not often i usually dread opening a case of cards. Sounds like a hassle sending back to topps from US, going to be a real pain from Australia. Might be easier to contact dealer and get them to do it for me.

How do we treat the Sobol cards ? I mean they are officially licensed cards but were not inserted into packs and the only one who has these is Sobol . I am clueless as to why Topps sent the cards back to him . A check would have been better . Is a master set builder supposed to include such a rarity , it is going to be hard enough getting a Babbitt . Thoughts...

It would be nice if Topps just limited all artists to no more than say, 300 sketches. I'm glad Cooney is making money but it really sticks out that he's over produced.

IMHO,
VinnyH

I got 'only' 3 dud boxes.
Anyone have the correct address to write to? And exactly what we'd need to send in? UPC from box and 24 wrappers? anything else?
Thanks ...

Was just going over box again, and it says on bottom 'No guaranteed number of special insert cards per box'. Wonder what their legal department approved: box or flyer?

"Hey Guys,

I don't know what exactly is going on with the cases that you're breaking, but rest assured we are trying to figure out what exactly is going on with the collation. Let me also point out that because of the lengths we went to in keeping this set balanced, we are just as disturbed by this as all of you are. We've made the effort to narrow down the amount of costume material you should be getting. With that said there were equal amounts of all 3 commissioned and inserted.

On the flyer, we guaranteed that you will get 9 hits per case and we stand by that. If you get stiffed, save your UPCs as you've been doing and send them in. We will notify Consumer Relations of the situation to minimize any confusion. It's important to us that you are all happy with what you purchase, especially with today's economy. I will monitor this thread and try to resolve any problems that arise.

Also, I believe the Helix was completed by Daniel Cooney, as Ryan Waterhouse did not participate in the Heroes Volume 2 set.

Thanks

If David or someone from his staff is indeed following these threads, I sure hope the post an update. I, for one, sent my package of UPC's, wrappers, invoice and letter off today.
