I am really curious as to why Warner Bros. suddenly allows Cryptozoic to produce on their licenses after recently denying Rittenhouse and Breygent. Did the WoW license give them instant credibility or am I missing something here?

No clue, but it could just be a timing thing. . . I imagine they were probably a bit thrown to find out that Inkworks closed and may have been reevaluating things. . . plus I'm sure as soon as those licenses came available every card manufacturer out there was trying to get it. . .

As long as the licenses are handled well I'm just glad these sets are back!

Well I had a huge rant response all typed out, then I realized I'm probably bitter after having spent so much time on my own fantasy BBT release Big Grin
Cryptozoic's got a hell of a community to please. Better not disappoint.

I think it is wonderful that Smallville has been picked up for new cards but I was wondering what was in mind for the auto cards. Are you guys thinking about keeping the Inkworks look so they fit in with the rest of the sets or are you going to go Full Bleed? I vote for full bleed, I liked the look for the inkworks cards but I really like the bigger look for full bleeds...just my 2 cents.

I'm curious to see if Cryptozoic starts up where Inkworks left off, or if they do like RA did with LOST and start at the beginning with a multi-season set.

Whatever they do, they need to do it soon. Once Smallville is done, it will be harder to sell cards. Unfortunate but true.

I just hope they go with the same dimensions as Inkworks (ie-3 1/2 inches wide by 2 1/2 inces high). Would mess my matte up otherwise. LOL

Does anyone know who they are looking to get autos from? I made my own cards and have gotten a bunch signed. Still missing a few hard to get sigs.

Yeah, I don't know where they should start with Smallville, 10 seasons is a lot to cover. Seeing as the show is at the end of it's final season now, they may just do a set encompassing all seasons of the show, more of an archives set rather than focussing on seasons.

There's quite a few I'd like to sign and seeing as Inkworks only did 1-6 there's a lot from the later seasons also.

There's the obvious ones:
Tom Welling
Kristen Kruek
Alison Mack
Laura Vandervoort

Then theres:
Sam Witwer as Davis/Doomsday
Dean Cain
Teri Hatcher
The guy who played Zod (sorry don't know his name)

Zod was played by Callum Blue

Honestly I would want a Cassidy Freeman auto the most.

I wouldn't mind
Alessandro Juliani (who signed for BGS so they should be able to get him)
Phil Morris (Martian Manhunter)
Serinda Swan (Zatanna)
Brittney Irvin (Stargirl)
Chris Gauthier (Toy Man)
Jessica Parker Kennedy (Plastique)
Michael Shanks (Hawkman)
Alaina Huffman (Black Canary)
Ryan Kennedy (Cosmic Boy)
Alexz Johnson (Saturn Girl)
Calum Worthy (Lightening Lad)
Brian Austin Green (Metallo)
David Gallagher (Zan)
Allison Scaglotti (Jayne)

Between the OG Zod and Jor El on Smallville, Id want him because I dug him on Young Guns and various other roles. Definately a legend that needs a sig in this set.

I don't know how I could have forgotten Tess ThanksSmile

Looking at your list there really are a tonne of people that could sign and some of them I completely forgot about.

I think they could do a really good job of Smallville if they can get a lot of these autos.

Chuck,
I would love cards Brittney Irvin, Alessandro Juliani & David Gallagher. Those are the only names from the above list I wasn't able to get my cards signed...

Here are some others who I would love to have..

-Michael Cassidy (Grant Gabriel-Lex's cloned bro)
-Keri Lynn Pratt (Cat Grant)
-Gil Bellows (Maxwell Lord)
-Elena Satine (Mera)
-Christine Willes (Granny Goodness)

I agree...Smallville could be a success without Welling or Kruek. Obviously I would love to have those two, but they wouldn't have to have either if they had several of the other from my list.
