These do look like great cards - Dynamic Forces always puts out as great product. Since it is Dynamic Forces - these will be due out early 2009 - 2010 - 2011.

Very nice cards. I definitely plan to get a few boxes, but not until after they are live (whenever that migt be Roll Eyes)

Just noticed, hand " COLORED" cards. Does that mean the cards come with a pre-printed outline that artists simply color in?

Im a HUGE JML fan. Its too bad that most people just dont care anymore. Combine that with DFs poor on-time schedule, we'll see if these see the light of day.

Exactly, these are done by Linsner's right hand Eva Hopkins. These were first done in the 15th Anniversary set and proved to be very popular.

The new addition this time around is the "friends of Dawn" sketch cards. These are done by an unknown number (and quality) of artists. I'm hoping to get a artist list but DF does not communicate well.

I guess we all have to wait (and wait..and wait some more...and...oops, sorry ,I nodded off there while I was waiting) to get more details. I would hope that it will be better received than the Red Sonja set.

Red Sonja was looking to be a great set, but Dynamic Forces collation was so bad, that no collector worth their salt would possibly go for this one, unless of course they go for a case where the collation issue will probably even out.

I'm a fan of JML but an even bigger fan of Dawn.

The nine card puzzle set is a from a litho that Linsner did for Dragon Con.

Some of the autos I recognize as being original OA's that I saw on ebay this past year and I also recognize them in his latest sketchbook.

The hand-colored cards are absolutely beautiful. Eva did such a great job... and she also contributed sketch cards as 'Friends of Dawn'.

Totally love the amount of chrome cards this time around.

I keep telling people that this is the set to collect because of the artwork that is represented.
I don't mind a wait- it gives me time to buy my first case (EVER!!! Metal) just as long as the ratio of cards per box are pretty good.

In amount and variation.

I can understand that DF has gotten a bad rap because of delays and collation probs but they did a great job with Witchblade- Disciples of the Blade. I only bought boxes and I was always thrilled with what I pulled.

I just hope people don't count this new Dawn set out... at least, not just yet.

The lower right corner is by Mark Pennington. He did some sketches for the Red Sonja 35th set, which was a couple of years late. I do hope they get this one out a little quicker. I was still hoping for the Project Superpowers set they advertised over a year ago, but that one doesn't seem likely to come out at this point.

After the lengthy delay for the Red Sonja set and the disappointing collation it has, I'm not taking the risk with Dynamic Forces products anymore.

It's a shame since JML has such great artwork too.

I don't understand totally giving up on the set for these reasons. Shake Head

Surely you could find a Friendly Dealer Wave who is opening product and get in on the set that way.

When it's not viable to bust boxes, I would think it would be the perfect occasion to pick up a base set or a mini-master, and maybe some of the rarer chase that catches your eye.

Ed

Hey Ed,

It's the company that I have a beef with. I'm not willing to condone the poor customer service and poor quality product by continuing to purchase their product.

Their adverts all stated certain items in a box and I really do feel bad for people who bought boxes and got nothing in them. Imagine then contacting Dynamic Forces and getting no reply. Sure sometimes sketches don't get into boxes but usually companies respond to that. But the basic inserts were missing and all people got were base cards. Not a great experience at all.

I love JML's artwork and collected his Dawn comics but that was the exact same reason I bought the Red Sonja cards. Not gonna get fooled again.

But don't worry, I'll support friendly dealers but using the money I save from buying this set on another set Wink

Cheers,
Steve

Hey Don. Now that we have more information, we want to give you an update. The cards are at the printers and the coalation should happen within the next ten days. With a little bit of luck the cards will be out in time for Christmas. If not, definitely in January.

ghostrider666,

Joseph Michael Linsner is a fantastic talent and we hope that many fans appreciate his art. He has stood the test of time having been in comics for over twenty years. We apologize for our previous track record and hope to fix our mistakes moving forward to be more on time. We won't be perfect and we'll make some mistakes and possibly have some delays but hopefully not as bad as previous. Thank you for your support.
