Every order comes with a "Geeky Guy" promo card to complete the full set of four for this character (P1 was from SDCC, P2 from NYCC, P3 at Philly).

Also, 50 random orders will include a variant to "Lick it Upton" with a 3rd name for the character.

is this the only want to get the promo ? Was it at another show, like Comikaze ?

I am confused. The Smilin' Stan Lee from the Comikaze is numbered P4, from what I can see

Where are the P1 to P3 for that set ?

Comic Conner, Fan Boyd, Cosplay Cody. This is P4 for that character and is numbered as such.

Yes, but if Smilin' Stan is P4, what are the P1 to P3 for his set ?

The P4 from the con series is "Geeky GUY", not Gary. It looks like "Smilin' STAN" is a second P4 for the regular-size promo but is CC13a in jumbo size.

But why is Stan numbered P4 as opposed to P1 ?

Are there Stan P1 to P3s out there, or some other comic celebrity ?

I challenge anyone to summarize this thread such that it makes sense to us simple people. Bouncey

I don't know why my question is so hard to understand. Smile

The P4 Geeky Guy is part of the set that includes the SDCC, Philly, and NYCC promos P1-P3

But there is also a Stan Lee P4. Where are the P1-P3 promos that are part of this set ???

I think Jeff is correct, P1-P4 are all part of a singular "convention" series. P1-P3 just happen to have the same image, and they changed it up for the 4th promo.

But there are two P4s-- Smilin Stan and Geeky Guy

I rest my case. Eek

You won't find these in the next issue. It's beyond the deadline so hash it out some more with pictures.

Just look at it like P1-P4 are the four different names for the same image of the Comic-Con kid and that P4 "Smilin' Stan" should've been numbered P5, making it an uncorrected error.

That, or else, look at "Smilin Stan" as an alternate version of the P4 with Stan instead of the nerd kid shown on it.

But just to be safe, as soon as I get my P4 with the kid on it from my Topps order, I'm going to firmly adhere it to the "Smilin Stan" P4 (that I bought on Ebay with some Gorilla Glue I bought at Ace Hardware), that way, there's no further confusion.

I think we're all puzzled just by the fact that there are two P4's. The "con guys" are P1-P2-P3-P4 (including Geeky) and Stan is another P4 that *appears* to be a mistake in numbering, but perhaps it's the first card to show up from a different series of promos.

Or there's something even more obscure going on: In the modern era, there was a P1 SDCC 2008 exclusive for GPK All-New Series 7 and a P2 SDCC 2007 exclusive for GPK All-New Series 6 (backwards numbering, yet). There was an unnumbered Batty BRAD promo for All-New Series 4 and apparently a B1 for ANS3. I can't see a sequence there.

P1 Comic CONNER, P2 Fan BOYD, P3 Cosplay CODY, and P4 Smilin' STAN all are marked as promos for 2014 Series 2. I assume P4 Geeky GUY is marked that way too, since Topps links it directly with 2014 Series 2, but I haven't seen the back.

So I adhere to chesspieceface's first option. We'll all have to get our glue guns out.

Maybe Stan chose to reboot the promo franchise? I think his P4 is a mutant, and maybe we'll see a P6 at Memorabilia!

As long as you have all of them who cares what numbers are on the cards. If they want to skip around with the numbers, it's all good.

Thanks, Jeff. Yes, all I was trying to ask is whether Stan was part of a separate series of promos, and if so, where are the P1-P3.

'nuff said, to quote Stan Lee !
