These were recently brought to our attention, so I thought I would share here (most of this information was copied from their web site) What I find most interesting about this set is the buy back program:
Executive Trading Cards A new political trading card set The first issue of these collectable cards display representatives of the Federal Government, and all members of the 111th Congress 2009-2011. Included are members of the Legislative, Executive, and Judicial branches respectively. They will release these cards in 2 series, Series 1/2 at first, and later in the term they will release Series 2/2 which is the latter half. These cards have interesting features that allow you to know information such as which role the politician plays in Government, their political party, and personal information pertaining to that individual. Some exciting points of these cards include: . An ONLINE BUYBACK of the cards listed. . A 22K GOLD FOIL STAMPED PRESIDENTIAL CARD. . And a LUCKY CARD in every pack. Q. Why do some cards have serial numbers on the back? A. Cards that have serial numbers are rare cards that are collectable and tradable for cash at our website. Q. How do I trade cards? A. Go to the "Executive Exchange tab" and fill out the exchange form, mail in the cards and we will send you a check. Q. What does the numbering on the back of the card mean? A. The number on most cards depicts the persons position and state. For example CA14R would read California 14th district Representative, whereas AZ1S would mean Arisona 1st Senator. Other cards that Read JU* mean they are a Supreme Court Justice and EX* mean that they are an Executive member of the President's cabinet. Q. Why is there a series 1/2 and series 2/2? A. Do to the high number of politicians, we wanted to release the complete set of cards in 2 series so that collecters can look forward to the next series as they adjust to the first one. Q. When will new political cards come out? A. We plan to release a new set in 2011 when the 112th congress is inacted. It's top secret, but we also have some other cards on the way...!! It gets more interesting... SAVE YOUR LUCKY CARDS!!! ...Each month through January 2011 a random number will be selected as a winner and posted on the site. If you MATCH THE FIRST 7 NUMBERS, then you may be a winner. If so, please fill out the "Exchange Form" located under the “Executive Exchange Tab” and send it in with your lucky card. We will send you back a gold foil stamped in 22K genuine gold Barack Obama card. If you find this card in a pack or win one online, you will be only 1 of 21 people who will be able to own this card, and very lucky indeed. Good luck and hold on to those Lucky’s, you might be holding on to the winner. |

Any idea if these are standard size (2.5x3.5) cards?
The samples look to be slightly larger on the long side, but that could be a effect of the scan or adjusting the size. Interesting idea, not something within my interest range though. Plenty of political junkies out there that would like a set. I hope the cards are edited better than their website. We must now have a 51st state

I'm not a grammar Nazi in fact I spell very very badly but yeah I read this and though wow that's bad... Things like
"A. Do to the high number of politicians, we" I mean really what are you going to Do to them.... The word is Due, and it has a very different meaning to anyone who can read. |

LMAO in fact they have misspelled there own name on the Obama card.. look under his photo, the word executive is missing the last e. You can tell because the second e in the word is very distinctive, and is NOT at the end of the word. Nice...

I think the flame(?) under the picture is a stylized "e". But those other spelling errors are funny (and a little sad). The buyback program is interesting. I went onto the website and at the top of the home page it has a ticker giving you the exchange rate for various cards. ____________________ Always searching, ever hopeful. |

Hi Card Talker's,
Very interesting observations I am not sure where exactly this company is located or if English is the native language. I assumed when I first came across this set that it was a U.S. based company, but I am questioning that assumption. I could not find an address on the web site, nor is thier exchange program form available for use as of yet it seems. I do know that we are supposedly being given a complimentary box of these cards to review so that may shed some more light once they are in hand. I will report back what I find out. Emily |

About 10 years ago, there was a company out of Guam that did the same thing with coins. You purchased a card and a particular coin would be featured. Then, you could go to their website and redeem the card by paying for the coin based on prevailing values, that's if you wanted that particular coin in a particular graded state. This company had hi and lo grade coins. The name of the company was Tidewater, but I can't seem to find them anymore. I traded with the owner something I had for one of these cards and they sent the card and the coin with it (they picked the coin a 1926 Standing Liberty Quarter in VG condition) I thought is was a neat idea at the time, but never thought it would translate into non-sport cards. The cards were approx 3" X 4" and laminated in plastic.
