Diana Rigg
Robbie Coltrane
Carole Bouquet
Daniela Bianchi
Benicio Del Toro

These are of course my best guess, I have no solid info for these.

Dalton is easily my no 1 card wish. I like to think it will happen one day. I almost wish I could write to him myself. lol.

From the others, I would also like Robbie Coltrane, but I doubt that will happen since he never signed for any of the Harry Potter releases.

Next after that probably Eva Green.

From others, I think Michael Lonsdale and Javier Bardem would be good.

A real shame that Charles Gray isn't with is anymore. I rather liked his Blofeld.

I believe Bouquet just never answered
and an address for Bianchi was never found

If you are getting 3 cards per box, you'll need at least 40 boxes worth to complete the 120 card Live and Let Die set. I don't know why Rittenhouse need to make them so rare, but if you are unhappy about it let your dealers know, or send an email to Rittenhouse. They have altered their plans before when collectors have complained.

Rittenhouse have updated their web-page, the throwback cards are now 4 of each film per box. The Parallels are limited to 125, and the Skyfall expansion are two per box.

Full bleed collectors should start a revolt, you wait a full year and you get, 3 behind the scenes,2 repeat signers, all last year 40th anniv exclusives (excluding the Skyfall's who haven't showed up again this year) and in all only 13 cards to ad to your collection, still no Halle Berry, still no Bruce Glover and Oona Chaplin who I asked and asked for has showed up in 2 styles but no full bleed.

I agree. I only collect the full bleeds, and with the exception of Jane Seymour I couldn't care less about adding these to my collection. mostly a bunch of repeat signers and none of the big 40th anniversary signers. I might have to choose to spend my money on collecting something else. I am even less excited by this Bond release than I was the last one, and that was my previous low excitement level for a Bond release.

Yes I too prefer the full bleeds and I don't know why RA is not making a more equal split of it, especially knowing that many full bleed collectors felt shorted in the last release.

Having said that, why get upset? It leaves something to look forward to in the future and more money to keep now. You could call it a win/win.

If more collectors stuck with their preferrences and only bought what they liked, there would be a better chance that manufacturers would make more of what they liked.

I think it looks an excellent checklist. Really glad they have gone with some interesting props this time rather than constant wardrobe variations.

Its the same old whinging set after set. Roll Eyes

The last Bond set had amazing 40th style names so it makes sense in this set they are more low-key, interesting and rare small parts like people from Dr. No and some new ones from the more recent films.

Women of Bond looks excellent to me with the big names of Hatcher, Berry, Marlohe and some long overdue classic names like Shirley Eaton and Tania Mallet.

Full bleed collectors get 3 of the 6 James Bond actors on amazing looking cards and yet they still gripe. If those 3 cards are not reason enough excite Bond trading card collectors I think some collectors have frankly unrealistic expectations. FB collectors get a fantastic Jane Seymour card, a couple of the Moonraker girls people always asked for and all the new behind-the-scenes players, all of whom are important names in the Bond universe. MONTY NORMAN!

I have no sympathy for the posters above spitting the dummy out. Try being a mainly Women of Bond auto collector like me. After Dangerous Liaisons in 2006 that had a whopping 5 WOB autos, in the last 8 years we have had a GRAND TOTAL of nine WOB cards. NINE. And in this set we are still missing there is still no sight of WOB cards for Marguerite LeWars, Margaret Nolan, Caroline Bliss, Cecilie Thomsen, Caterina Murino, Olga Kurylenko, Gemma Arterton, Naomie Harris or Judi Dench to name but a few! All names 40th and FB collectors have been enjoying for years. Am I angry? Not in the slightest. They'll come in good time.

Heaven forfend that full bleed collectors wait a year or two for a couple 'big' cards. 40th Anniversary collectors had a massive drought a few years back and over the last full sets they filled in nearly all the gaps in that run and now they've done so for the WOB series. And all the while, they have continued to offer cool cards to FB collectors.

Out of 53 autographs, including incentives), there are only 16 new names but there are some repeats that will be very popular. We have x16 40th Anniversary autos, x17 Women of Bond autos and x18 Full Bleed autos (a double auto incentive, and a new auto style incentive). I really think this is one of the most balanced autograph lists they have done for years.

If my favourite auto card ever had not been released in Mission Logs (Brosnan), this would be the release I have looked forward to the most in a very long time. Quite literally hundreds of of base and chase cards covering the breadth of the series, catering to many fans, and that will them hunting cards down beyond the first week of release. Great to see a healthy list of REALLY cool prop cards to change it up from the costumes we've been getting. I'm loving all the vehicle cards in particular and look forward to seeing the Aston Martin pieces. My only disappointment is that out of 19 Skyfall expansion cards there are none for 40th Anniversary. Oh well, not the end of the world!

There's no pleasing some people.

As always, X, you've hit the nail on the head. I too find it tiresome hearing the full-bleed collectors moan after every checklist comes out. This isn't the first time I would stress that full-bleed autographs came out first of Pierce Brosnan, Daniel Craig, Yaphet Kotto, Famke Janssen, Olga Kurylenko, Toby Stephens, Geoffrey Holder (RIP), Topol (to name but a few)... I remember having to wait something like 3 years, and sitting through two full-bleed releases of a Daniel Craig autograph before the 40th Anniversary version was released!! But low and behold it always happens, so I don't see the need to moan about it publicly!!

(Now that's my rant over with)

Would agree that this set is a good one, but I'm not as excited as I was for the previous set, I have to admit, as there are no new big names in the autograph lineup. That said, I am looking forward to filling in some gaps in my 40th Ann and WOB collections. Really happy about Karin Dor, Shirley Eaton and Tania Mallet. Been waiting ages for these.(Btw, not sure I'd class Virginia Hey, Jan Williams, Lizzie Warville or Sheena Easton as Women of Bond. They are women who featured in Bond films at best). And nice to see some key production staff on the full bleed list. Would be great to see Sir Ken Adam and Lewis Gilbert added to this roster at some point. Seeing Monty Norman does make me sad that a John Barry autograph card will never see the light of day. I would have parted with a lot of money for one of those!

I'm not a prop collector, but I do recognise that the prop list is pretty cool. I mean, you can get your hands on a piece of a prop that featured in From Russia With Love and from the the costume worn by Goldfinger! Amazing.

And I like the choice of films for the throwbacks. Live and Let Die is my favourite Bond film, so I'll definitely be investing in a set of these.

Bring on the 22nd!!

Oh he knows how, he's just lazy.

I was in London a few months back and went in Turnbull & Asser for a nosey around - its a very historic shop but too expensive to buy anything! They have a wall in there with autographed pictures celebrities have given to the shop thanking them for the shirts they've had made. On the wall was a Casino Royale shot Craig had signed to them and it had the BEST signature of his I have ever seen, I have never seen one that good with the first and last names both perfectly legible. Seems over the years his signature has deteriorated quite a bit.

I don't get why some people just don't seem to take pride in their signatures. I saw Karl Urban at a convention this weekend gone and he's a great bloke but his auto is just terrible.

Precisely. Sometimes I think the full-bleed collectors forget just how good they've had it over the last few years. Maybe that is the cause of this whole 'first bleed cards' should come first attitude. We know different versions of cards will all come eventually so why stress? It just means from one year to the next you might spend a bit more of less.
This means that for me, on the last 3 sets, I've not spent a great deal and only picked up a handful of autographs. I've had to wait YEARS for many cards in this release and I'm thinking my expenditure will be a bit more eye-watering this time out. But if this set doesn't have so much for some collectors, what's the harm saving a bit of money?

I wasn't prepared to like so many of the props. Not sure I can afford those I want and the autographs as well. Will have to see how limited everything is and the going rates.

Sorry RP01, but I actually rank Live And Let Die as dead bottom on my favourite Bond films list. But that's why I think this set is so great. I'm looking forward to putting the Casino Royale set with the CR preview set from 2006, and I'm really excited to see RA have their first crack at a Bond movie set previously done my Inkworks and if another fan such as yourself gets a 120 cards for their favourite Bond film when it never got it own gum set back in '73 then I think that's a great thing.

For all the moaning about the size/quantity of these base and parallel sets, there really is something for everything whether you like Connery, Moore, Brosnan or Craig. Maybe I should threaten to not buy Bond cards anymore because RA didn't put a Dalton set in this release. Roll Eyes

This is such a great set. I am so excited to get to add some duplicate signers and a few behind the scenes signers to add to my collection. I was wrong to complain because I forgot I am not allowed an opinion, unless everyone can agree with what mine should be. I am glad to finally see that my complaint was just unreasonable whining and unrealistic expectations. I am so thankful I can save my money so I don't have to try to add Halle or Hatcher or Glover. Thanks for setting me straight. I will buy many cases of this. God forbid I should speak of boycotting this release. They may stop making Bond cards if I quit buying.

Who said you aren't allowed an opinion?

You seem to choose to look at the release as the 'glass half empty' whereas I take the 'glass half full' approach. Yours and chiefbrody's comments sound that you're simply not bothered about any other collectors or striking a balance for everyone and it reads a bit selfishly. As RP01 already pointed out, since multiple styles were introduced FB collectors have had it better than everyone else. FB collectors got first shout on:
Yaphet Kotto, Alan Cumming, Famke Janssen, Tania Mallet, Timothy Moxon, Olga Kurylenko, Geoffrey Holder, Topol, John Cleese, Guy Hamilton, Cecilie Thomsen, Rory Kinnear, Daniel Craig, Gemma Arterton, a 2nd Daniel Craig!, Pierce Brosnan, Michael Madsen, Toby Stephens, Anthony Zerbe, Nancy Sinatra, Kenneth Tsang, Lulu, John Glen and Monty Norman to name but a few.

So on that note I'm gonna state again that I, and many others, have been waiting 8 years for a WOB spread of autos anywhere close to what FB & 40th collectors have been treated to with each new release. And plenty of other collectors will be happy with "some repeats," as you put it, of FB cards from bit-parters like Moore, Craig and Brosnan.

So you'll have to excuse me for not being overly sympathetic and for not taking it at all seriously when people talk of a 'revolt' because a couple of specific cards, in a specific style, were not inserted in a specific release.
Can I, or others, not hold the opinion that the continual griping about these same 'issues', set after set, gets a little old? Especially when all the cards we all want ALWAYS eventually get released anyway?

If there had been more FB 'big' names no doubt we'd hear people busting cases and complaining they pulled too many 40th and WOB cards anyway.

you can't please all of the people all of the time, every year ?

there was a not taken seriously element for full bleed
collectors last year and it looks like it has happened
again this year,

Yes there are 3 Bond actors, but extremely limited your not going to get and then have
to pay £300 each for, too many behind the scenes personal all
at once, repeat signers, ( a real pain that
40th anniv collectors don't get to go through) and all of last
years 40th anniv exclusives a year later

full bleed dont need hatcher, berry, glover skyfall cast, that 40th anniv
got as soon as they were announced.

As for you can't please all of the people and its a gradual process,
by the time this set is released 40th anniv collecters will have 12
Skyfall autos and full bleed will have 3, what does that really say ?

What does that say?
...That patience is a virtue?
...That the 40th Anniversary series always was, and always will be, the most comprehensive series of Bond autographs?

Last year FB collectors got 18 new characters and 6 repeats. Whereas 40th collectors got 16 new characters and 3 repeats. But because RA debut the new names in the 40th line (when it has been full-bleeds the last few years before that), they are "not talking FB collectors seriously"? Suffice to say I completely disagree with you, and all the more so because your point totally ignores the the massive list of amazing signers I wrote in my last post that FB collectors got first.

Craig, Brosnan and Moore won't be £300 each unless they are ridiculously short printed. In the last set Rog was £50-90, Craig was £120-£160 and the last Brosnan full bleed was averaging about £200-£250 with his 40th card even less at £150-£200.
They won't be cheap but we're not talking £900 for all three, that is a massive exaggeration if none are super short printed.
With each new repeat, the big names seem to stabilize and get a bit lower in price. Surely a good thing? More cards of Berry, Hatcher, and Marlohe are cool but I promise you many Bond fans will be looking forward another shot at these main Bond actors. You know, the most important actors in the series...

And 40th collectors do have repeats... not as many granted but 3x Daniel Craig 40th style autos isn't exactly cheap.

From what I can gather, your main gripe seems to be that it is unacceptable that full-bleed collectors have to wait every now and again for the biggest names. Maybe the years of not having to wait has spoiled you somewhat?
Some people would love the behind the scenes players in this set: collectors have asked for them and they are all important names in the Bond universe, oh and FB collectors get them first. "Too many?" There's 3 cards. Roll Eyes

Repeat signers in any style are never a "pain" for me, I no longer buy cards I consider a pain. Maybe we've come round to that old argument of is it better to be a completest or a collector who picks up the bits and pieces they want?

Hey Bacall1 - I wasn't having a go at you specifically, nor was I saying your views aren't valid. The only point I was trying to make was that where in the past 40th Ann. collectors have had to wait a long time for certain big name autographs to be released, now it's the turn of the full-bleed collectors. That's fair, surely?

I am not unhappy with this release because all of the previous 40th signers from the last couple of releases aren't in this set. I am unhappy because none of them are. I don't feel like every first card released should be a full bleed. That wouldn't be fair to the 40th or WOB collectors. I don't take it personally when someone else gripes that their favorite format is not properly represented. I would rather not have to fork over all the money at once to get all the big full bleeds I need, but will probably have to do so once they finally get released. What I think would be fair is to release a bigger signer in each format, if WOB is appropriate. Then you can alternate format in the next release and do the same again for any new signers. I might then not get to add a new signer for 3 releases, but I wouldn't have to wait 3 releases for ALL the ones I want. No one would have to. If I am unreasonable then that is fine. While getting all the actors who played Bond would be a major coup if they had never signed before it is just a hassle buying multiples of the same person just to try to keep the collection complete. Not having Glover, Hatcher, Regin, Halle or any from the last movie besides Rapace is just not fair to the full bleed collectors, no matter that we will get them eventually. It happens both ways with signers of each format, but 40th collectors have never been this far behind, fm a sheer numbers standpoint.
