If one sees all those chase cards and is saddenned rather than delighted... you just might be a base set guy. Chase cards used to and still should require a chase, not 50$ for your all-inclusive box.

Oh yeah... I'm pumped as all hell about this set. I don't care if I sound like a broken record but I can only pray for a series of sketch cards by Marvel Artists this time. Heck, it's been 10 years since this has happened (FUSM '97 being the only one with exclusively Marvel artists). The bit above about some cards being pencilled and not colored is fantastic news... it means there's a better chance it's drawn by an established artist with nothing to prove, where the signature is just as powerful as the sketch itself. Very excited, for now...

The chase cards and all the parallels should be relatively easy to come by considering how many boxes will be broken for sketches.

Prenz, I hope you are not too disappointed if the artist list does not have all artists with a Marvel pedigree. I think you'll see several of the ones that have been staples of the LotR and Star Wars sketch cards participating.

As for the release date. My distributor told me not to worry about it too much. Upper Deck has not delivered a product on time yet this year.

Yay What an excellent way to start my Marvel collection. Love the levels of chase, makes buying a case more worth it (if the sketch cards weren't enough as it is!).

Hey Prenz, do not get too excited. I think that most of the artists on this set will NOT be comic book artists let alone Marvel artists. But lets keep our fingers crossed for a few Marvel guys.

OK. Im sold. I just hope that the set's art is up to standard.

While the sketch cards are great, the number of chase cards is even better! I love all the different chase cards that are included in this set.

I'd rather open every other pack with a "chase card" than 40 packs with only 6 special cards total.

I too hope the base set lives up to the "Masterpieces" name. UD did pretty well with the Disney Treasures, so there is hope.

I look forward to the NSU promo and article, and won't pass judgement on the set until I see it.

This set does sound pretty good - I'm really looking forward to the sketch cards and the variety of chase cards is astounding.

Just hope that it's worth it...I hate disappointment.

I'm glad that Kyle and Perna are on this set. I have snagged about 7 Kyle Complete Avengers sketches and luckily I pulled a Perna Captain America from a box.

Does anyone know if this is going to be a U.S only release like the Rittenhouse set was?
