No it's not I have seen several of these sell, and the first one sold for less than £20.00 This is still a relativity unknown card, with few sites reporting it at all so the prices are fluctuating.

I went to another branch of Martins over the weekend, to try to get myself a standard Rose card. They had around 8 or 9 starter packs, though only one of these had the exclusive Rose card sticker on the front. I checked a few of those that didn't have the sticker and they didn't contain the card either, so I ended up getting the last one from that store (it was the normal card, not the error card).

I had a similar experience to this in a local Asda, so I'd definitely recommend checking that the starter pack has a sticker on the front before buying from the stores carrying the limited edition cards.

Yes good advice, no sticker no card.

I rang a Martins store and they said they were waiting for Smiths to send them some. Presumably Smiths will not send them their exclusive packs so they must be the distribution centre for the standard non exclusive packs.

Sorry but outside of this thread I have never heard of TRU. Is this a regional thing?

Our local store is a Martins and I have found their starter pack for Julie. The reg not the over-sized one.
We have a Smiths just a bus ride away so Julie has that special card.

KILL THE INTRUDER!

You don't know all our little codes! You cant play with the REAL geeks...

TRU is an abbreviated form of Toys R Us Wink I often do a double take at some of the abbreviated words around these parts as well Smile

Smiths distribute the vast majority of Magazines & newspapers to other stores and newsagents nationwide

Here's the comparison of the 2 Rose Limited Edition cards, as no-one else has posted this. On the "trial" version the background refraction pattern is different and the card is slightly larger (it only just fits in a hard loader as you can see):
