I just got the DWM with the dr foil.

I must have looked at 20 copies in both Smiths and FP before i could find a good one, a lot of the foils were bent after being shoved in the rack.

When I bought my copy of the magazine it was the only one left so I considered myself lucky that the card wasn't bent..

I have noticed 2 errors in this set.
Of the 2 cards of the Extrapolator #008 & G8
one is up-side-down.
and on the checklist page card #106 is listed as 100.
Any other gaffes noticed???

I think I should make mention here of the alternative version of the Rose Limited Edition card which has been turning up on that auction site.

Apparently the (slightly) oversized (and slightly miscut) version, which also has a different background holo effect to the final version, was released "by accident", being part of the initial print run which should've been recalled but wasn't in it's entirety (obviously).

This is only hearsay. Anyone know any more please?

Yes.

It's true all the foils were initially misprinted and then pulped. They were oversized and on the wrong holofoil stock, a few of the Rose cards turned up, but not many. One of them has been listed as "miss cut" that card was trimmed by the owner so that it would fit into a page. It sold for about £15.00 The Rose is the only one that has shown up on the market yet, I was waiting to get one in my hand before posting about it so that I could get some good comparison scans, but it has been confirmed by staff at Panini. Get them while you can.

Thanks for the info, SciFi Planet. Thumb Up

I'm glad I picked one up, then. It's gonna be a devil to store though, oversized as it is! I wonder how many "made it out"?

Aha, glad to have this clarified as I was going to ask about it myself! Smile

The card I picked up the other day in the Martin's starter set is oversized, and I was wondering whether or not they were all like that.

Thanks for the info.

Edit : Didn't realise this was my first post - over 2 years after I joined!!!

I wonder if the error cards have only gone to certain regions?

I know they have been found in Essex and now west Yorkshire, so it seems like it's mixed. I know the Tyneside area has not had them so I still haven't got one grrrr

I would mention that there aren't all that many (comparatively) Martin's/McColls in West Yorkshire.

I found 2 of these shops within 10 miles of my house. The one had 1 copy and the other one had never heard of them.

I am somewhat surprised that Martins/McColls has an exclusive card, but not the likes of TRU, Tesco, Wm Morrisons, Sainsburys etc etc.
