Over at Trekmovie.com they have pictures up for the new Star Trek Next Gen CCG game. It looks a lot like the Doctor Who game from the UK, nice looking cards anyway. They say the set will have 300 cards in it.

I will try and get pictures or a link up to it asap.

This is nothing like the Dr Who set, the Dr Who set has no real game attached to it, this looks like it has a much more detailed set of game mechanics to run it. Dr Who is just a lazy and hastily put together hodgepodge product to cash in on the UK youth market. (saddly)

This could be a very popular set with gamers.

The best Trek CCG was 1st edition. It captured the feel of the shows so well, with away team and typical dilemma mechanics.

2nd edition was dumbed down and not really Trek beyond the characters and ships.

I don't know what Dr. Who plays like to make a judgement on how 'Trek' this new one will be.

Bandai (Booth #mez 15B): The toy company will be unveiling a Jean Luc Picard Trading Card at the convention. Additionally, Bandai is showing off its Star Trek-inspired deck building games — based on The Next Generation — so fans will get a chance at a hands-on trial.

I'll think about getting these when they come out. Somewhat interested in them.

Pretty sure that's a different product altogether. Bandai is making the new CCG.
