On the RA bulletin board, Steve Charendoff today posted the following:

"Good news on the Twilight Zone front. We will be producing a 50th anniversary set of cards. If anyone can provide contact information for any actors who haven't already signed cards for us, please let me know."

It's good to see that there will be some sort of set commemorating Twilight Zone's 50th Anniversary. I'm looking forward to seeing more details in the weeks and months to come.

GLAD to hear that. And there are a few autographs I wouldn't mind having again - seriously, you can never have too many Anne Francis autographs!

I found a lot of fan mail addresses that people have used to get signed photos, etc. but they didn't have phone numbers so I don't know if that's what Rittenhouse is looking for.

On another note, I really hope that RA uses the same style autograph cards for this set. If the autos have a new design I can see a lot of repeat signers then. I hope they just continue the old autograph style with all new signers. But beggars can't be choosers. I'm just really excited about this set. I had many dealers tell me that Twilight Zone is the most popular and best selling non-sports set there is. I've been told the TZ cards have retained their value more than any other non-sport cards. They never have cold periods. Just watch how fast this new set sells out.

This is true. Most of the autos are pretty stagnate at the price point they were a few years ago with no decline. Autos that have seen the most movement are when the actor passes away and they jump up and stay up. Out of the 100 autographs in this series, I am still missing around 15, which of course are both the Shatners, Nimoy, Doohan, Rooney, the high dollar ones.

I have the Series 1,2, and 4 autograph sets.
They are some of my favorite cards ever, and I'd love one more set!

Base cards wise, I hope RA is able to do at least one card for each of the episodes not covered in the first four sets. I remember the were some issues with certain actors/estates not wanting to give likeness rights, but since this could well be the last set of TZ, I hope for "completist's sake", that RA would just instead use picutres from a given epsiodes not featuring the unwilling actors, even if they happen to be the stars of the episode. (Personally, I'd be happy with a picture of Rod Serling from the narration part of a given epsiode on those particular cards.)

Autographs wise, there have been plenty of threads listing the missing notable actors, so I'm sure RA is well aware of who they are and I wish them the best in who they can get, but I'll support this release regardless of the final lineup.

And as for potential cut signatures, more Rod Serlings would be great, and I personally would love to have a chance at a Burgess Meredith as wonderful as he was before the show, certainly during his four episodes, and indeed for a long time afterward, with "Batman" and "Rocky" being just two highlights.

I'm sure other TZ collectors can think of a whole lot more drool-worthy "cut" signature possibilities. Buster Keaton, anyone?!

Actually glad to hear we have a few more months to go. I really enjoy the TZ autograph cards, but right now there are a lot of good competing releases. I can't possibly spread it around as much as I'd like all at once.

I wish I had never sold the signed letter I had from Rod Serling - it was on personal stationary with a personalized note. Sadly I needed the money (only got $120 on eBay for it, though).

His grave plot is in my hometown (Interlaken NY), though his ashes were spread over Cayuga Lake. My dad sold bait to him and went fishing with him in the late 50s/early 60s. Said the man could drink! hehe.

I am looking forward to this release.

Hi, former neighbor ... Yup, we used to wonder whether we were encountering essence of Rod when we went canoeing. I used to live on the lake not far south of Taughannock Falls, but have since migrated farther than you have.

I'm also going to look forward to the new set. I hope they have been able to get releases on images from more of the episodes!

Here are some of the signers so far, according to Steve Chardendoff:

"Cliff Robertson, John Astin, Morgan Brittany, Mariette Hartley, June Foray (Talky Tina), Patrick Macnee, and slew of others. Still working on getting Martin Landau."

Robertson is great and Landau would be terrific. And speaking of Academy Award winners, a Robert Redford card would be great, but I suppose that's not really the Sundance Kid's style.

I'm glad to see Morgan Brittany. I believe she was a child actor name Susan Cupito when she appeared on the show, so I wonder what name will appear on her autograph card. It'd be great if there were variation cards for her (one for each name, I mean).

And speaking of child actors, Ann Jillian would be another nice one for this set, but If she's not signing for this set, I'm sure its not because she hasn't been asked. Steve covers his bases pretty well, I know.

Anyway, looking forward to this set. Way to go, RA!
