Rittenhouse does this and there are also some box breakdowns confirming this.

If you are referring to the random 1 in 25+ cases archive box then yes a few boxes are inserted into most Rittenhouse products .Or perhaps the W.O.M. rewards program embossed card that was put into production in error . But you will not open a pack and get a 2,3 ,6 etc case incentive card. These are inserted into toploaders and distributed to dealers. If they did do this I have had the worst luck in pulling them as I open approx. 25 cases of all their products and have NEVER pulled a incentive card from a pack .Heck, I wish they did then I would really be getting cases on the cheap Wink

No, RA has definitely said sometime ago that they were putting a few of the case incentive's in individual boxes that were not archive boxes. How many do they actually put I don't know.

But that's RA not Inkworks.

Somebody cue up AC/DC's, "Giving the Dog A Bone." Metal

I think the card design for the autos is fine, its been made to incorporate the sticker so it doesnt seem out of place. However couldn't they have found some better pictures of David and Gillian? Gillian has this weird look on her face, hell if Gillian had to have signed the card she probably would have refused thinking they couldn't have picked a worse photo of her. With David's all it gives attention to is his large nose. Then the dual auto, you can't even see their faces, I would have preferred to see just one of them standing together.

I don't know, some of the cards look good, the case loader and pieceworks. That 9 piece puzzle set looks awful though, why did they make Gillian so big, it doesn't look right with her next to Mulder.

I also don't think the incentive pieceworks are that great. The material looks like it just comes from a tan coat that Scully wears and a brown coat that Mulder wears. I don't think they'll have much variation with the swatches.
I'll have to wait until the set comes out but they don't really appeal to me as of yet.

So far it looks like I'll collect a mini master set and a pieceworks each, perhaps the dual ones and probably the single auto of David and Gillian, although I really wish they used different picturesSmile

I was really looking forward to this set, but some of it looks a little disappointing, hopefully it will look better when its released and I can actually see all the different cards.

As for incentives as a whole, I don't mind them at all. I own 3 now from Supernatural and BSG, but yes they aren't cheap or easy to aquire.
Like this X-Files set with the dual auto, a very special card for the show, BSG season 3 had Edward James Olmos' auto, the only one that he's signed, as a 6 case incentive. Only about 100 were made, so that means only 100 people are going to have that auto in their BSG collection.
It makes it hard on the collector and really makes it all about buying cards rather than trading them.

I do a few shows as seller to get rid of spare cards and find virtually no-one tries to trade. The only cards I'm offered are Dr Who BIT which I have lots spare any-how.

I believe the concept of Trading is a dying aspect of the Collecting Scene.

I was going to buy a case originally, but then I figured the only cards I'm really after are the David and Gillian autos and without knowing the ratios of the cards, you could be getting a case without either. Even if you did get one, you'd still have to fork out big bucks for the other, so instead of spending $600 on a case you may as well save that money to go towards the two autos. I'm sure the pieceworks will be fairly common, so they won't be too expensive to purchase, along with a mini-master set.

the costumes are the only things im after. and i'd probably sell the big autos if i got them in my boxes. guess i'll hit the bay after the release and snap the costumes up etc.

I'm not sure what the problem might be. The site was updated earlier today, so maybe there was an issue at that time. If you are still having problems, let us know.

If I had the money I wouldn't buy a case just the autos I wanted because I have lousy luck when I open boxes(always get the real common autos). Frown Good Choice Sidewinder! Thumb Up

ThanksSmile I just knew if I bought a case and didn't get either auto I'd be really kicking myself for spending so much on a caseSmile

I'd like to see everyone's breakdowns of their cases when the set is released, then we'll get a better idea of how rare these autos are going to be.

Yes. The studio has a strict requirement that this set cannot be released to the public before the movie opens on July 25th.

Most Inkworks release dates are Wednesdays and most movie releases come out before the movie opens, so it might seem like it is late, but actually it is right on schedule.
