lol great now I look like I'm nuts! Thanks mystery moderator! I would like to say one thing however, the Harryhousen sketches were from an unreleased set, and one that from what I understand Mr Harryhousen himself stated he did NOT want released. Hence the sketch cards being included in the yearboxes, if they are producing more of these it not only undermines the value of the original "limited" sketch cards (from Hammer as well)but it is also very possibly against the wishes of the rights holder. This MAY be the case but without farther investigation or clarification it may not be. I would class any cards commissioned after the release of the set and not for redemptions to be after market cards but they don't mark them as such. They did a LOT of that with the first Trilogy release, which you can see if you check out some of the dated cards, they were drawn well after the set was finished.

I guessed a mod had removed a post or two, hence the smilies quote: Originally posted by Sci-FiPlanet:I would like to say one thing however, the Harryhousen sketches were from an unreleased set, and one that from what I understand Mr Harryhousen himself stated he did NOT want released.
Hm, from my few brief conversations with Mr Harryhausen in the past, the only objections he has had with over products being released were when they weren't officially authorised so he didn't get any money (the exact details of the Strictly Ink deal are not known, so it would be wrong to speculate. I do know that the set was going to include cards autographed by Mr Harryhausen so it was going to be authorised..but something obviously went wrong with the negotiations), they were poor quality even if official (it's well known that he really did not like the Mattel Kraken model produced for Clash of the Titans) or when people get his name wrong. It's amazing how many people have difficulty spelling 'HARRYHAUSEN' From my experience, he is a very easy person to deal with. However, his agent may be a whole different matter and he's the one you'd be talking money and terms with.

Actually, that would make sense as they were probably going to appear at around the same time Ray Harryhausen launched his then new book 'The Art of Ray Harryhausen'. The illustrationn used on the cover of the book was also on the first promo card for the set. Excellent book by the way

Hard to know what to think until we get more details on the content.
In his email to me about "The Avengers 3 Gold" set, Barrie also mentioned quote: Finally, the yearset details will follow shortly, I am sure you will like the final versions too with ultra rare Gold Border and Unique Black Back Sketch Design cards on Dr Who and Hammer Horror and also a new 9 card additions trading cards premium preview set as well as five new sketch cards, new Harryhausen too!

At the moment there is just not enough solid information, especially on the yearbox, for me to buy . Last year the sketches were all posted on the website, even if some of the best ones did not make it into the boxes . Although Barrie sats they may pre sell out I would rather wait and maybe miss out than buy before all details are known and get less than I hoped for as has sadly happened in the past.

Carolyn Edwards has commented on her blog that she has "also been given some Doctor Who Big Screen Mono, 2000AD, Ray HarryHausen, Hammer Horror and CSI blanks to work on for the year-book"

Are these being done on the same blank cards as the original sets or have they been changed/redesigned ? quote: Originally posted by RAMolinelli:Samples for Avengers are now available on my Facebook Fan Page. Just look up my name Rich A. Molinelli.
Not being or wanting to become a Facebook user, are these available anywhere else ?
