e-bay and USA sellers will allow UK buyers to get the product, plus (I believe) many Americans have seen the new Dr Who Series anyway. The first CSI sets were not supposed to be sold in the USA but they got there in the end. The Only restriction is that Inkworks can't sell directly to UK, it doesn't stop the secondary market selling to UK

The secondary market will pick this up and sell it in the UK but that will make it more expensive. inkworks also can not knowingly supply a third party for export. The set will probably do reasonably well in the US as there is very little in the way of merchandise (comparatively). I still think it will cause problems in the UK however. Someone said that many sets turn up in the UK, yes they do but often they are imported in bulk buy UK suppliers. They will not touch this set and your imports will come in smaller quantity's which again put the price up.

Its spelt Billie, and trust me she will sign if approached. I have tonnes of autographs from her that I've gotten over the years since she started out in the music biz. It's down to Inkworks to get in touch with the right people.

The only "public falling out" that Eccleston has had that I know of is with whomever at the BBC leaked out the news of his departure and put words into his mouth about his reasons for leaving. He's certainly never bad-mouthed the show as far as I've seen.

I just really want this set to happen. When I found out that it was delayed- I was so afraid that Inkworks would just cancel it.

I don't care what anyone says- I'm holding out for a C.E. auto card. Go ahead and call me foolish but stranger things have happened.

I have to say I am curious as to why there seems to have been such a delay to this set. I realise the writers strike has impacted some sets but this is a British show.

Come on Inkworks a little info would go a long way ! Thumb Up

The lack of comments/information won't help their profile with non-card Who fans. Confused

As I posted earlier in this thread, there is no information to share about a possible Doctor Who trading card set from Inkworks because a set has not been scheduled nor information finalized. If information about an Inkworks Doctor Who set becomes available, it will be posted on the Inkworks website and I will try to post here to let you know.

I think with the Preview set everybody got excited and the assumption was that there was going to be a set in the near future! EVERYBODY take a deep breath and STEP AWAY

Andy,

Can you confirm whether Inkworks are still planning to do a Who set at this time?

I am finding it real difficult to plan my puchases. I am having to not pre-order some boxes and cases at present because the manufacturers keep moving their release date or don't tell us when its being released. Its no good me preordering a case of the new Indiana Jones set if its at the same time as the Dr Who, its really frustrating.

Its a shame manufacturers cannot give us a 6-9 months release schedule. Its not asking too much is it?

To be fair to manufacturers giving a 6-9 months release schedule I think can be difficult.

For example the new Star Trek movie release date has been pushed back to Summer 2009 meaning RA's release date for this set gets pushed back through no fault of theirs.

At the 2007 San Diego Comic Con, Inkworks released a six-card Doctor Who: Season One “Preview” set as well as a Doctor Who: Season One promo card. I think that is an indication of plans at that time and I'm not aware of any change since then. To date, however, Doctor Who is not on the Inkworks product release schedule and I do not want to speculate on when, or if, it will show up in the near future. Sorry, but I don't have any more information for you on the subject.
