This set has been given a release date of late April / early May.

It will follow the usual Inkworks composition for a set and will have auto's and costumes and possibly sketches.

More information will be released shortly.

Hey Wolfie,
Thanks for letting us know,

I didn't see anything posted on the Inkworks website, does that mean you got a new job working for Inkworks? Wave

Did you take Andy's position?

What's your source of information? While I hope you're correct, there's still absolutely no Doctor Who information anywhere on Inkworks' web site.

In a way I'm quite pleased about the April/May release slot, 'cause I really don't want it to clash with the release of Strictly Ink's Big Screen set (and I'm sure there are others who feel the same!) Roll Eyes

I'm looking forward to this one myself too, having just watched the complete run of Seasons 1-3.

It was posted on another forum ( which unfortunately has a commercial trading card area too so cannot be linked to from here - sorry about the previous link Harris ! ) but where Wolfie won a box of Heroes cards

Also the rumour continued that a Torchwood series 1 set may be out by the end of the year

Thanks for all of the interest in Doctor Who trading cards from Inkworks. Smile

I realize that this is the News & Rumors section, but information about a release date and set composition for a Doctor Who set from Inkworks has not been finalized. Although I think one could speculate on the possible contents of a set based on what Inkworks has done in the past, that does not mean that the composition for a potential Doctor Who set from Inkworks has been determined. When information is available, it will be posted on the Inkworks website and I will do my best to let you know here.

Along the same lines, there is no information available about the possibility of a Torchwood set from Inkworks. If a Torchwood set is added, it will be announced on the Inkworks website.

As it looks like sketches are a real possibilty with this set, I'm wondering who the artists would be. None have yet come forward as far as
I'm aware to say that they have even been approached.

Would any artists like to volunteer if there are any whisperings in the industry, although I appreciate that they may not be able too at this stage?

Addendum: Obviously I was writing this post as the above was posted. Do I infer from what Andy is saying that they are at least considering doing something a little different for Dr Who?

I'm not trying to be coy with my post - It just means that it has not been determined one way or another.

No problem DIS.

I hope Inkworks is able to release a Torchwood set at some point too. I hope with the series about to start here in the U.S. once again this weekend, it finds a larger audience this season. Its worthy of one!

Given the popularity of the sketch cards for the previous Dr Who sets from Strictly Ink I hope Inkworks will have sketch cards for their Dr Who sets. Thumb Up

There isn't anything about it in the newest Previews magazine, just a couple of old products offered again (Buffy 10th and Family Guy Blue Harvest).

Hmmm let see, CE (9th Doctor) will not sign for Heroes, nor will he sign for the inkworks product "The Seeker" and has had a public falling out with the Doctor Who program in the first place... you can basically forget about him in a set. As to Billy Piper, well again I wouldn't hold your breath on hat one.. however anyone who wants a Micky Smith auto hold on to your hats! As long as your not in the UK that is because guess what! inkworks cant sell them over here.. The BBC agreement is for the USA only. If your in the UK expect to pay more for them because they will be brought in via the back door.

inkworks are not saying anything about the set officially even though they released promos several months ago at a convention, I hope its a good set but if it hasn't got he right level of autograph and costume inserts many will be disappointed. I mean Strictly Ink had to chase down actors from decades ago and costumes that were even older, there is a plethora of material and cast members for inkworks to choose from in this set. There really can be no excuse for getting it wrong.

I also find it very odd that a company would not want to advertise it's upcoming products... the inkworks site really is in need of an update.

Lots of trading cards sets are not licenced for sale in the UK, however they regularly appear at card fairs without any problem.
