Upper Deck
May
In an obvious move to cash in on the new Jurassic World movie, Upper brings us a set of Dinosaurs cards. It’s actually a pretty complex set, and will be tough to collect. A word of warning, the retail packs have a dinosaur figure and base cards, nothing more. The hobby set looks like this:
100 Card Base Set
25 High Number Sea Creature Short Print Cards (1:2.4 Packs)
25 High Number Ice Age Creatures Short Print Cards (1:2.4 Packs)
Canvas Mini Cards
30 Dinosaur Stickers (1:4.8 Packs)
3-D Lenticular Cards (1:6 Packs, 4 Rarity Levels)
60 Age of the Dinosaurs Patch Cards (1:24 Packs, 4 Rarity Levels)
Dinosaur Sketch Cards (1:24 Packs)
Rare 2, 3, and 4-Panel Sketches
Rare Autographed Parallels numbered to 49
8 Predators of the Sea Shadowbox Cards (1 in 2 boxes)
Audio Booklet Cards (Velociraptor, Saber-Toothed Tiger, Pterodactyl, others)
RARE Oversized Authentic Fossil Relic Cards
Megalodon Tooth
Wooly Mammoth Molar
Raptor Tooth
Giant Auroch Upper Thoracic Vertibra
Cave Bear Jaw
Triceratops Tooth
And many more!
5 Cards Per Pack / 24 Packs Per Box / 8 Boxes Per Inner Case / 16 Boxes Per Master Case
Looks like fun, but stay away from the retail unless you like base cards and plastic dinos.

Ryan CracknellWhile retail doesn't have sketches, fossils or the sound cards, some configurations have the Shadowbox and stickers as well. Plus there's a lunchbox that's part of one configuration.

That would be interesting. I was told there were only 2 SKU's for retail, none of them being traditional packs.

Scifi CardsThanks Ryan!
Seems my retail supplier either is just lazy or the US and Canada will have different products. I'm guessing the former.

I won't call your supplier lazy but I have seen the same sales materials posted on US-based sites as well.

H_ToserWe have some further information on the blog today about Upper Deck's Dinosaur series. Our writer Rudy Panucci went to Toy Fair and recorded a video with Upper Deck talking about the new series:
A Second Look: 2015 Upper Deck DinosaursThere's much more about the series inside the
new Jun/Jul issue of Non-Sport Update as well along with a sidebar about Upper Deck's new board game.
