Wow! Exciting news about the next Bond set. Weirdly, I'm most excited about the Nadja Regin autograph card. She's only support cast from FRWL and Goldfinger but she's a pretty rare signer on anything, let alone trading cards. Hope we get a From Russia With Love card for her. Sometimes, I really don't know how Steve manages to track down these people.

X, that's enough of your "feelings". I've already been waiting over 2 years for a Daniel Craig 40th style...and now you reckon we'll be waiting as long to get a Brosnan 40th too. I do hope not!! Smile

Some of these chase sets sound interesting - Excuse the dumb question, but what is a parallel set exactly? Is it like the base set all over again but with a very subtle difference, like some silver foiling or something???

Yes, the recent Star Trek:remastered set had a parallel set, which was like the base set, except the 'Star Trek' logo was gold coloured instead of silver.

I'm thinking this may be my first ever case purchase. The chase cards do sound great.

Who knows? This might be something to share with my wife; she is the biggest Bond fan that I know. Thumb Up

Super happy that the Brosnan is the 40th Anniversary style Thumb Up

I know a whole bunch of people are huge fans of the full bleed, but I like the 40th style and want to finish my collection of that, even though some of the cards are getting nearly impossible to find!

Well, looks like you need not have worried about the Brosnan card! You may be shocked to hear but I may not pick up the Brosnan 40th, I'm still over the moon with the full bleed card which does look A LOT nicer. Eek

Must say from seeing the initial page on the RA site I'm a little underwhelmed if I'm honest. The auto cards all look great but we all knew these were coming or were either easy to predict. Brosnan and Jill St. John are nice main star additions to the 40th run and the Carey Lowell card looks very nice indeed but in terms of new names we have De Souza, Yip and Regin. The latter is a rare one for sure but still... I want a real surprise 'name' to whet my appetite. Besides obvious requests like Connery or Dalton and people who have not signed before I'd love to see the following:

- Judi Dench (full-bleed pic from GoldenEye with her leaning back in her chair before she rips Bond a new one)
- Diana Rigg (hopefully after signing Avengers autos maybe we might see some Bond cards at long last?!?)
- Shirley Eaton (WoB style)
- Tania Mallet (Wob style)
- Michelle Yeoh (full-bleed)
- Sophie Marceau (full-bleed)
- Goldie (full-bleed)
- Rosamund Pike (WoB style)
- Rick Yune (full-bleed style with diamond face pic)
- Jesper Christensen (full-bleed - can't believe we never got a full-bleed for Mr. White... think RA forgot about this one!)

Given all of the above have signed plenty of cards before, those are my 'realistic' hopes for the next set.

I must say I like the gold motifs RA have on the product page, fits nicely with the other imagery for Bond 50th Anniversary promotions and it really reminds me of the 'liquid foil' look of the 40th Anniversary base cards. If the 50th set used the same card stock they'd look phenomenal. Also really excited to see what is in store for the Dr. No 'throwback' set (hopefully not all black and white).

...and somebody add a Maryam D'Abo "40th Anniversary"-style auto to the list!

I know a while back Steve at Rittenhouse requested a list of all the "gaps" in the autograph collection. Did someone ever do that for him, because I still feel like some obvious gaps haven't been filled?

RP01 - I think way back when several people did indeed send Steve some lists of actors to get.

Maryam d'Abo on a 40th card is a really obvious omission. She's still very active at conventions and to this day is still a huge supporter of the series: I'm certain she'd sign more cards. Gloria Hendry is another one, and Luciana Paluzzi.

I do worry that the larger these runs get the harder it is to keep track of what has been done and what needs doing, especially when you consider all the planning that also goes into other licences like Trek.

I remember in one post on the RA boards where Steve said he was sure he had done a Jesper Christensen full bleed. But given the importance of that character you'd think RA definately would have had him do that card when he did his 40th ones, you can't fault the logic! Alas there has not been one so just an oversight I guess. Its great that RA communicate so openly as I'm sure it definately helps jog their memory.

I totally forgot she was in AVTAK! I would love if she signed some cards- Last Crusade is my favorite of the Indiana Jones movies, mainly due to the Connery factor Big Grin

There was a full page advertisement in PREVIEWS magazine identical to their website ad. I always rip them out and use them in place of the now (sadly) defunct sell sheets.

Interestingly, a lot of the cards are odd-numbered. Presumably, the 2nd set in Nov will have an equivalent even-numbered set of cards.
