Sooooo... (People are going to start thinking I'm lying soon, lol)

I went to another local comic store today and bought 8 packs of Supernatural, five packs of Jericho, and 2 packs of DC Legacy.

Jericho - an insert and A3 (Sprague Grayden), which I already had but makes a nice trade addition anyway.

Supernatural - bunch of inserts and A17 (Aldis Hodge)...soon I won't even need my 13 boxes, I'll have a whole master set, lol!

At least DC Legacy didn't give me anything...I really might have had a stroke or something. I've never had a complete lack of patience pay off this much before, it's very disconcerting.

Not that I'm complaining... Big Grin

lol, tell me about it. Alas, there are no other places around me that sell cards, and since I've cleaned those two out of everything I could ever want for the time being, I just have to hope my luck holds through opening my boxes when they come.

So I was on a business trip the other day and I stopped in a comic & card shop that I saw in this small shopping center. I haven't bought much in a while and was hoping to find something good. Behold, behind the counter a bunch of different boxes. Each box was open but only had a few packs missing( when i say a few i mean 3-4) I asked the owner about them and he said he had just one or two people that bought packs and that these had not really been picked through yet. So I went ahead and decided to buy quite a few seeing as it's been a while. I bought all the LOTR Masterpieces(32 Packs, LOTR Trilogy Chrome(32 Packs) X-Men(the first movie from topps 33 packs) Complete Avengers (36 Packs). So I was hoping for a few good pulls seeing as I bought so many packs. However I unfortunately did not pull one single sketch, auto, or costume card. Needless to say I was a little disappointed. Probably won't be going back to that shop to purchase cards.

After Allentown and a flurry of ebaying, I only needed one Supernatural Season 2 Auto - the Alona Tal. I was in a local comic book store and they had just two packs left from the series. I bough them on a whim--and pulled the Alona Tal auto.

THAT'S why this hobby is fun! Cool

Awesome luck! Congrats! Aside from the Jensen Ackles auto (cuz nothing could beat that), Alona Tal's is probably my favorite card in the set. Smile

So the shop keeper only has 1 or 2 customers, what a surprise! This shows that buying from an open box is not a good idea, unless you know and trust the owner

It's been a couple of days since I opened a pack, so I was twitching and shaking for my fix.
Stopped by my local dealer and picked up 4 packs of Trek Movies, out of a newly opened box.
Got a motion card, a Plot Synopsis, and costume. The costume was an MC11 Dr. McCoy, but i have this one already, so if anyone wants to trade it for any of the other 1701 costumes, let me know.

Went back to the card shop today, and so far, I'm the only person who has bought packs from this box. So I got 3 more...

Stopped in at a comic shop yesterday and bought 3 packs of Golden Compass and pulled a redemption for Mrs. Coulter's Dinner Dress. I do find it interseting that I have seen both this card as well as Lyra's Arctic Coat listed as PWR-1.

I found out one of the supermarkets near me has a trading card vending machine and they are fairly current since they had packs of DC Legacy in there. I could only afford one($3.00 a pack), so I bought one and pulled a gold foil Atom card. Smile- another towards my parallel set.

Bought 3 packs of Golden Compass today. Pulled Lyra's best dress pieceworks Clap and a Lyra's world chase. Gorgeous, gorgeous cards. It's funny, because the box I pulled these from was half empty, and I didn't expect to find anything, I was just hoping for a chase.
