The reason I think that a few made it out there was a 1996 forum post by Mark Macaluso where he said Cross was "all but impossible to get" (but existing).

I've seen pictures of "Eagle", but none to date of "Cross" :/ It would be good to know for sure if any do indeed exist or not...

It does exist. It's just hardly ever up for sale. I saw one last year or the year before and I've seen another more recently but the seller wants about $300 for it.
