Hi,

just wanted to give an update to X, I tried the sleeves you recommended but they did not fit inside the ultra-pro pages very nicely.

I have found these sleeves which are about 2mm smaller than the others and they fit in the ultra-pro sleeves perfectly.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayI...em&item=220752710547

The link will probably get removed by the mods, the sleeves are Max Protection Trading Card Soft Sleeves (100) MTG.

I believe they sell for around $150. It is probably the cheapest autograph I still need for my master autograph set. I think it was limited to 500. I bought close to 10 boxes trying to pull it in the last year but decided it wasn't worth trying anymore and will just buy it at some point.

I just had to start a new album due to all the duplicate autographs I have obtained trying to get the cards I need for my set. I think I have over 150 dupes now so if anyone is looking for any bond autographs maybe we can work out a trade or something. Only a few of the duplicates are VL's, but many limited thrown in as well. I decided to just get the master set of autographs for the newest release to keep from getting so many more duplicates.

Wow, 150 dupes that huge.. I am after two cards.. one of Maud Adams and the other of Famke Janssen.

I have one of each already, I just don't have the other two, Maud Adams in a hammock and I am not sure what the Famke looks like.

If you have those, I will happily sort something out with you.

Unfortunately I don't have either of those 2 as duplicates. I remember pulling the Maude Adams from a pack, but had to buy both full bleed Famke autographs. I remember one was twice as much as the other one. I will just list the different duplicates I have and not whether I have 2 or 3 or even 4 extras of the cards. My duplicates are WA1, WA2, WA4, WA5, WA8, WA23, WA33, WA35, WA36, A1, A7, A8, A13, A14, A19, A20, A21, A30, A34, A35, A38, A39, A40, A43, A47, A58, A60, A67, A69, A83, A84, A85, A86, A87, A88, A89, A93, A96, A101, A103, A104, A105, A106, A107, A109, A114, A115, A117, A121, A130, A133, A140, A141, A143, A144, A146, A147, A153, A154, A156, A161, & Full Bleeds of Carole Ashby, Olga Bisera, Samantha Bond, David Calder, Tsai Chin (from You only Live Twice and Casino Royale), Christina Cole, Joaquin Cosio, Isaac De Bankole, Kate & Eunice Gayson, Giancarlo Giannini, Julian Glover, David Hedison, Virginia Hey, Bernard Horsfall, Michael Kitchen, Will Yun Lee, Tania Mallet, Caterina Murino, Tim Pigott-Smith, Blanche Ravalec, Richard Sammel, Angela Scoular, Malcolm Sinclair, Papillon Soo Soo, Jill St. John, & Serena Scott Thomas. If anyone has any interest in these let me know.

Bacall1,
I would be interested in the following:
A83
A84
A104
A115
A117

I couldnt keep up with the full bleeds so I am just doing the WOB and 40th ann. Other than Famke, my WOB is complete. Im still 15 away in the 40th. My case should be waiting for me when I get home tonight of LOGS. Any Full Bleeds will be available for trade. If you could let me know pricing for any or all. Thanks!

Do you happen to have any of the cards I still need for my Bond set? The checklist I listed a day or so ago has the 8 cards I still need for my master autograph set. If not, I am sure we can work something out. You can email me if you would like. If it isn't in my profile then let me know and I will post it.

Bacall -

I don't envy you, you have some hard to find that are even harder to get good deals on. I stick to 40th and WoB and I would not have Roger Moore (A29) or Cary Lowell (A45) had I not essentially got them for nothing.

I have a few doubles (maybe 10) I have aquired along the way but 150?!? Get selling and plug some of those gaps! Wink A69 + A30 would be good ones to raise funds for starters - why hold
onto them?

Good luck finishing your run.

You are right X. These last few are extremely difficult and very expensive.I haven't even seen some of them in a long time and when I do it seems I usually get outbid. The 15 case card is very rare and probably the most expensive Bond card out there, although the Brosnan could eclipse it. I have tried pack pulling them but to no avail. The reason I haven't sold my duplicates is probably just plain laziness. I will try to work on selling or trading some to obtain some of the others that I need.

I have made some great progress over the last week. I now have every Bond autographed card except for the A1 John Cleese from Die Another Day. I purchased 7 of the cards I needed from a collector and now am within striking distance of completing a set I never thought possible. I could actually buy the last one right now but hate to finish this epic journey just yet. I know that there will be more once the 50th anniversary Bond cards come out, but that will probably be at least a year from now. Perhaps I will wait a little while before buying it although finishing it off would be great also and I wouldn't have to search for Bond cards all the time. Decisions, decisions.

Well, that must have cost you a pretty penny or two! Well done on the achievement. I imagine there are not all that many collectors that can say they have full runs of 40th, WoB and full bleed, let alone all the other miscellaneous ones as well.

I have a question for you... if you had to get rid of your collection and could only keep five auto cards, which would they be?

I say leave the Die Another Day John Cleese a little while as the ones on eBay are a tad overpriced IMO.

Now show us Bond fans some pics! Wink

Yes, as 'X' asks (say that a dozen times really fast!), pictures please!

I stopped taking pictures of mine because the rest of my sets are not as complete as the previous ones, although I did finally manage to get a Daniel Craig from Heroes & Villains. I will buy a Mission Logs case later this month and hope to score some nice cards.

I liked the way of putting all the autos into one checklist, so I've taken the liberty of using Bacall's checklist and put it into Excel (plus I was a bit bored on a lazy Sunday).

I've split out some of the info and need to update it to add which card set each auto is from, but it works fine as is.

If anyone wants it, either drop me a mail or I can upload it somewhere.

Edit: The final version is ready. I've added the Sets for each auto too.

This message has been edited. Last edited by: Thush,

Thanks X. It did cost me a few bucks to get those 7. There was a reason I had not purchased them earlier, but the opportunity to get them all at once was too much to pass up. I was able to fill in some of the gaps in my chase sets as well. It definitely feels good to be so close to completion. I will certainly complete the set prior to the next set being released, but I think I will wait a little while unless one gets listed at a price I can't pass up.
Five cards, huh? I suppose you are talking about only James Bond cards because if not this will require even more thought. I guess the 5 would be the original Daniel Craig from Heroes and Villains because it was pack pulled, Pierce Brosnan, WOB Ursula Andress, WOB Barbara Bach and Denise Richards FB 6 case incentive that I just received. Picking just five is quite difficult. I didn't include any 40th anniversary but not just because I prefer the full bleeds or women of Bond. If Brosnan and Craig had only been available in 40th anniversary style they would still have been included. The first 4 were because of the actor/actress and the last one due to sheer attractiveness of the photo.
I will take pictures of my collection and post tomorrow. I have individual pics of every card in my collection, but will try to use my scanner so I can group more cards together in each photo. If not I will just take a pic with my camera and display 4 at a time as I do in my albums. It has definitely been fun collecting all these wonderful autograph cards and I am proud to have them in my growing collection.
