I've been reading the dual auto thread and it got me wondering about values on certain cards.
The one in particular; Megan Fox.
Now, i was very lucky indeed to pull this card, but i have a couple of questions & am looking for peoples opinions.

1) Would some people say that this was a rarer card than the dual auto? it may sound daft but a) it was pack pulled
b) As mentioned before, you can get DD & GA auto cards so a dual auto isn't that much better because they are stickers HAD it been written on card instead of stickers, then thats a different matter.

2) With Megan been a lot younger than DD & GA and her career just taking off (along with been in FHM etc) could we see the price of this card rise?

Confused

1. I doubt the Megan Fox auto is rarer than a 10 case incentive would be. Most of Rittenhouse's 6 case cards are numbered to 100, so you can figure that there shouldn't be more than that, even if Inkworks has a larger than normal print run. The Megan Fox auto probably was made in the 200-300 range if I were to guess. It just seems more rare since it was the only auto in the set.

One other thing about it being pack pulled. There are still some in boxes. 100% of the incentive cards hit the market (unless the dealer is also a collector) immediately. Nothing stays hidden in unopened boxes.

2. One might guess the value could rise, but honestly it's pretty high right now. We might never see Megan Fox in another hit movie. It's all a gamble when stars are concerned. One or two bad decisions and your cards end up unwanted.

Scifi Cards, about your second point. Look at Denise Richards, she hasn't been in anything big since 'The World Is Not Enough' and she has had some negative press in the past year or so and yet her James Bond auto cards always sell really well.

While there are always going be some exceptions, I think Ed is absolutely right, most of these autographs are hot for a while but the vast majority will settle into lower prices over time. It pays to be patient if you are a collector, for the most part.
