Hi;
Does anyone know why the card count for CSI Series 3 has gone down? Packs for Season 3 only have 5 cards each as opposed to Series 1 and 2 that had 7 cards per pack. Is this a general trend in card releases? Thanks. |

probably to do with cost, I think RA have reduced cards in packets too. All it "generally" means is less spare base cards

think this should be done by all but reduce the price abit costhenits a bit harder to get a base set

I would guess that Strictly Ink,like Rittenhouse and Inkworks,have listened to feedback from collectors
In the first two CSI releases you could make up 3 base sets from a box,way too many and a nightmare to sort. |

I hope that means more inserts!

As long as this means less base sets in a box it can only be a good thing.

Thanks for everyone's replies.
Less base sets would be great, but they seem to have reduced the base set from 100 cards to 72 cards. Kind of defeats the purpose. I would presume the smaller base set is because Series 3 only covers one television season/series as opposed to two seasons for the Series 1 and 2 releases. At lease Strictly Ink has reduced the price per box and case. This will be my first case purchase because of the sketch cards. |

Yes, actually less base sets would be better in that it means that the sets will hold their value in the long run. I am glad to hear that the card manufacturer reduced the prices. Way to go Strickly Ink! |

i think thats briliant i think inkworks should make sure all the sets are a minimum of 100 cards and put 5 cards per pack and reduce the price a little even if its say $5 to $10

That wouldn't make me very happy at all. The set needs to be divisible by 9 - sets not divisible by nine don't look as good in my binders. 72 & 90 card sets work very well for me. ____________________ Lessa - Addicted to Sketch cards - |

Those extra cards from the 100 count sets really bug me... do I put it in the first slot, in the last slot, in the center... etc.

But I always try to reserve a slot for the wrapper. If everything's divisible by nine, I have a hard decision to make.

Where to put that last card in my 100-card Benchwarmer sets?

I also like the idea of fewer base sets in a box - as long as there is a set in the box as a minimum!
