I'm at a crossroads and was just looking for your opinions on the following question.

I'd keep it, but I'm a hoarder!
If I had 2 I'd trade 1, but with 1 only then it stays with me. ____________________ My other hobby is just as expensive! |

If it were me I would keep it if I pulled from a pack no matter what, unless I really needed the cash in an emergency. It has a special value other than monetary that cannot be replaced if sold.
However it is totally down to how you feel about it. Hard decisions are often the best ones (but not always). ____________________ Star Wars card collector |

Only you know the answer to this.
Look at it, do you want to keep it? then keep it. If you said i don't really want this then sell it and use the money to get something you do want. ____________________ Come, it is time for you to keep your appointment with The Wicker Man. |

It depends on how much you like Megan Fox.
But if I were "no longer into non sports cards," I would especially want to sell the higher value items I pulled from a pack or purchased, to average out the low prices I'm going to get for most of the lesser stuff. The same thing goes even if you're still into a lot of cards. Selling a holy grail can make it affordable to pick up 100 lesser artifacts that you might enjoy even more, and that you could enjoy without remembering the combination to the vault. |

If you have to question it, it has no sentimental value. Sell it!

That is exactly what I was thinking. We all question our own actions, but when you ask someone for their opinion of keeping it or selling it, then you have already surpassed the sentimental value of the card and moved onto the Am I keeping it because it will impress others. |

I can't help but notice that your recent posts have been all about leaving non-sport, selling cards, buying sports cards etc. That's fine, and as a former sports card collector I like talking old war stories, but it seems to me that your heart isn't into cutting the cord yet. If you are serious about it then sell the Megan Fox. Its worth good money and you will probably find a buyer fast. If you still haven't made up your mind, keep it. Keep all your best non-sport stuff because you will regret selling it later. Best of luck which ever way you go. |

I'm glad that someone else noticed this. Since you continue to post here it definitely seems that you are still attracted to the nonsport side of things. Take sometime and don't make a rash decision. Remember, you don't have to like nor buy every product that comes out. Be selective and you'll end up being happier in the long run, also with a bit more money in your pocket. ____________________ I drink your milkshake. I drink it up! |

With a card that you know you can get a lot for and that is not something you really, really, really want, I would sell it to get something(s) that you would rather have. I did this recently with one of the only high value cards I had.
It was going for around $300 on ebay. While I liked it a lot and pulled it from a pack of cards, there was another high $ item I wanted more. I sold the big card, bought the item I wanted, and still had over $100 left over (which I promptly spent on stuff). Looking back, I am glad I sold when I did. I am happier with the other items. While the original card was cool, it was NOT worth $300 to me. The Fox auto would be a big seller and if you ain't into the card, sell it. ____________________ -"One of the symptoms of approaching nervous breakdown is the belief that one's work is terribly important." If there's a price at which you think you wouldn't regret selling the auto, then you could set up a BIN and see if anyone bites.

If you are definitely getting out of non-sport I say sell now. That card is never going to more valuable than it is right now. And if she signs again for Transformers 2 it will probably only make the value of the first one go down.
Now if there's a chance you are going to stay in this hobby you might want to keep it. It's one of the top autographs there is and great cards like that are always a little more special if you pull them yourself (which I see you did). |

Its a place ive been before, for whatever reason you become disenchanted with the cards and in my case i did sell things, alias autographs, linda hamilton autograph from t2, bellinger sketch cards and such and i have to say i have regretted it so much. The only reason i sold my stuff was because i became bored and needed the money if i had a second chance i wouldnt do it, i would try and muddle through.
Although i might add that now i am back into non-sports and this time round theres no way im getting rid of my precious cards. If i were you i would think long and hard about what you want to do, its all fine and well asking what we think but it comes down to you in the end. |

i voted sell it, but that is assuming you are out of non-sport collecting FOREVER! (in witch case sell it all)
i think most collectors go in and out of interest on what they are collecting. i know i have several different collections going and one is usually on the back burner for a few years at a time. if you still are not shure, sell your dupes pack up the rest and put it in storage for a year or three and see where it goes. if your interest gets rekindled you will regret selling things off. |

I posted the ebay number of the last one I saw here... http://nonsportupdate.infopop.cc/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/167...521081182#4521081182 If you don't need the money then don't sell it is my advice. As others have said, you might regret it if your interest perks up again. |

Sorry, but the posting of current, live, eBay item numbers is not allowed on Card Talk unless the item in question is particularly unusual.
