What's the most you've ever spent on a single card and what card was it?

For me, it was a Yancy Butler autograph wich was $75. It completed my master set.

$150 for an Anna Paquin X-Men auto from the first Topps movie set.

$130 for a James Cameron Dark Angel Auto.

After that, most of my purchases never really exceed $80-ish, although box purchases are another matter altogether...

I have only spent over $100 on an autograph twice, the highest was $200 for Jack Hayley fron the Wizard of Oz.

Was an impulse buy...if I could do it again I probaby wouldnt have.

Shelled out $300 for a Carrie Fisher Star Wars Heritage auto. Was willing to spend $225 for a Salma Hayek Wild Wild West auto, but got outbidded! :-(

Most I've spent is £140 for a Hugh Jackman Auto from X-men 3: The Last Stand, to complete my Master Set.

Have spent quite a lot on sketches though, bought about 15 cards around the £50-£70 price range in april alone!

$225 for Hayden Panetiere Heroes Season One autograph.

My other purchases never really exceed $100-ish.

I also paid $125 for Joel Gretsch 4400 Season Two autograpgh. $90 for Skeet Ulrich /Ashley Scott Jerocho Season One (each that is...)

Trying to cut back on those expensive cards. Still need the Tommy Lee Jones from MIBII....

I really can't remember the exact numbers 'cause I forget it as soon as I have the card in hand. Big Grin Dance

But if memory serves... I've spent about 100 more or less on two costume cards each. One was a Farscape Chiana and the other a Catwoman bra top card. And on an auto it was about 70 or 80 dollars for a Linda Hamilton Terminator card.

So far it's been $40 for a Frankenstein Sketch card. I'm new to this so my despiration is still low. I was willing to shell out around $300 for the Seth McFarlane auto on fleabay a few weeks ago but it passed my limit before I could bid...

I get nose bleeds at the century mark, so its not something I really do, but I made an exception for Maggie Smith's autograph in Harry Potter Memorable Moments. I think its the only card she signed in the series and I caught it at $122. I admired her acting long before Harry.

Not sure on the most spent on a single card but have spent over £100 for 1 card.... (thinks he has)
Spent £30.00 getting Tribute card 1 of 2 wich was from BSG Colonial warriors, that was a deal and a half as the bloke needed the cash and threw in Britt Eckland's auto from the same set for nothing to ensure the deal Smile Smile Smile

I would have done the same. Maggie Smith is a great actress and it is (so far) the only autograph cards that she has done Thumb Up

I tried to catch one at that price when HP:MM came out, and I kept losing the auctions by a couple of dollars. Now her auto is way to expensive for my wallet.

I did pay $150 for a Rupert Grint/Ron Weasley autograph card from OOTP, and I have no regrets from that...

This question comes up every once and awhile. Here's a link from a older post: Most spent on card

I can't remember the exact amount, but last year after I got my income tax refund I spent a bit over $200 for the Farscape Through the Wormhole dual autograph of Ben Browder and Claudia Black.
