I picked up a bunch of these but know little about them. They seem to be a parallel set to one in English without the Pepsi logo. Any info?

I've never known them to be a parallel set to an english set. I thought they made a Mexican and Puerto Rico version.

You know what? I just looked and I see the same card from '94 Marvel Universe. Maybe they did take the images from an already printed set to produce them. Interesting.....

The DC Pepsi set used images from DC Master Series and Saga of the Black Knight for base cards and chase, though the chase had a different type of foil and other differences. Even if it was identical to only on of these, I would not consider it a parallel set, since it was released separately.

It sounds like the Marvel set was similar, based mostly on one set of approved images with some other ones added in.

Parallel set to Marvel Flair 1994 with a few differences . Have a lot of extras .

Can anyone tell me how either or both of the PEPSI DC and MARVEL Mexican sets were distributed? I believe these sets were a cross promotion between PEPSI and the respective licensors but I would like to know how the promotion was actually conducted in country.

I only know about the DC set. I have purchased sealed boxes of this. I don't know if there was some promotion with Pepsi products but the cards have a Pepsi trademark on the back. Also, the album has some other information (in Spanish):

made and exported by [a USA group]
imported by: Pepsi Cola Mexico

And then some other stuff that my nonexistent Spanish would probably mistranslate:
