Graham,

RA will usually allow their overseas collectors to ship to another party who can then forward it to you. Smile

They have indeed been gracious enough to let collectors outside the US and Canada to have their item shipped to someone who will forward it to you.

I've done this for several people as most of Rittenhouse popular licenses seem to be North American exclusive.

I now use my US based brother when this problem arises (and also for those eBay sellers who only ship to US). In the past, however, Ed and several other CT members have offered to relay cards for me when I have mentioned the problem.

Graham, if you are trading with someone in US/Canada at the moment, why not ask if they would mind? There are lots of very nice people here who are willing to help out other collectors.

Should this not be Tilted "U.S. Rittenhouse Rewards" It feels to the rest of us like Rittenhouse are "Sticking the Finger Up". It's alright to buy our product but you can't have any of the rewards the Americans get!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Confused

I was under the impression that anyone can participate in the rewards program (except for dealers and distributors of course). I see that there are some rewards that are only available to the US & Canada, but not all of them say that.

It's not like RA have any choice in the matter, they only have the US/Canada license. If you check the website to try and buy cards direct (rather than from a dealer), RA have similar statements for all the comics sets and probably others. I just checked JLA and it is also US/Canada only.

Personally, I would prefer that the Rewards cards were not cards that a completist needs. Why not hold back some random sketches, or extras of the middle level chase set? I have problems when the card is number 10 of a 9 card chase set because the completist in me requires me to get that card. So I fork out the expensive shipping costs to get lots of empty packs to US and get them to send the card to my brother. If the Rewards cards were cards that were also available in boxes, I could complete my collection without using the Rewards program at all.

Jen, if they are only offering cards that you can pull from boxes, it isn't much of a reward then...is it? Razz

I think it is, it's like a volume discount. For example, if you buy a couple of boxes then you can't complete all the chase sets, so the program would enable you to obtain some of the missing chase cards. All I'm suggesting is that the rewards program provide an alternative way to 'buy' some of those cards. For example, RA seem to be moving to 3 autos per box. They could do a lower insert rate (say 2 per box with some boxes having 3) and have an auto for 3 boxes worth of wrappers. For sketch sets, it could be a sketch card for 6 boxes of wrappers.
