Ebay Cheap Shipping Option
According to a report i have just read ebay is to introduce a cheap shipping option for trading cards starting in January.

It will allow sellers to ship a trading card for less than $1.

This should result in a lot more sales i would have thought.

Yeah, this will be awesome. I hope eventually the post office can expand it to items shipped outside of eBay.

I just shipped a trading card for less than one dollar.
I stuck it in an envelope with a stamp on it.

This will have tracking on it and up to 3 ounces.
Pretty much the non-machinable option but with tracking.

No relief for international rates it would seem.

Perfect for $1 promos, but still not sure it would trust it for cards worth much. We'll see how it gets rolled out.

This was in the initial release:
Envelope requirements
- No smaller than 3.5” x 5”
- No larger than 6.125” x 11.5”
- No thicker than .25”
- Weighs up to 3 oz.

Category requirements
- Total trading card value less than $20
- Ship no more than 4 raw trading cards per envelope (or 2 trading cards with top loaders)
- No graded trading cards

So it isn't for expensive cards and would figure once implemented that if your item sells for more than $20 this would not show up as a shipping option. I sell very little on ebay but I could see this as a way to use up the free listings with a bunch of cheap cards.
