This will be my first 'Secret Santa' and I'm so looking forward to it!

I noticed that some members are talking about a 'want list'... is that the same as the 'want lists' found in the trading area?

(may seem like a silly question but I'm just that way lol)

Generally speaking, I'd say yes. Some members also have personal websites (or similar, like Photobucket) which may include a want list, or even just a place to display what they have.

So there's a couple more detecting ideas to ponder

I just wanted to make sure and I really didn't want to mess this up- it's a 'me' thing I guess lol

I didn't go for the Secret Santa this time around - this being my first year posting on the forum I wanted to see how it all worked out for everyone. I know this is a pretty lame excuse, but after I've been to Memorabilia & met a few of the UK Card Talkers (& Harris) I'll feel better about it for next year. I'm just naturally cautious, which seems a bit daft as everyone has been very welcoming & I know you don't bite. I'll also have a decent trade list posted in the new year too. Best of luck to everyone this year - hope your Secret Santa sends you all something nice!

Should we post want lists (for those of us who don't already have one)? I always feel a little awkward about doing that. However, I do understand that people want to give something their recipient truly wants. I honestly will be happy with whatever my Secret Santa is kind enough to send me.

I feel the same way - I'm happy to get a card-related present, but I'll be posting a want list within the next week or so as none of mine are current.
