Morons on ebay
I was recently going through the "Completed" items on ebay, and saw an item that I had missed when it was live. It was an auction that no one had bid on and the minimum bid had been $9.99.

The seller and I had this exchange via ebay's message system:

ME: I missed this item while it was live. Will you relist?

SELLER: just what would you give for the item i bought from estate sale had a lot of lookers but no bidds if your offer was what i take for item i would list buy it know +shipping

ME: I would go the min bid you had -- 9.99 + 0.70 shipping.

SELLER: I JUST WILL KEEP ITEM THANKS ANYWAY

Then the seller relisted it at 19.99, where it has sat, with no bids.

TL;DR
Seller wants $10 for something. I offer $10, he says no thanks, I want $20.

Well Bill, it's simple. Nobody wanted the item but then someone expressed interest after the auction ended. That clearly means the item must be worth at least double even if it doesn't sell at that price either. Only a fool would sell something at a price only one person would pay.

I once saw something that didn't sell on Ebay and contacted the seller about it. He said he would list it again but didn't and didn't answer my next message. He must've concluded that his problem was thinking too small as well or he was abducted by aliens and they consigned it to Christies.
