Here we have all the "BIG" stuff. Like the big prawn, rockinghorse, big banana etc. There was even one town called Dunnedoo (not sure of spelling) that was wanted to have a giant Dunny (toilet) in the centre of the town

Our stuff tends to be historical; the closest would probably be Wookey Hole, a somewhat extravagantly tarted up series of caves that wasn't quite as much fun the second time around.
The Guardian newspaper's letters page occasionally has contributions from readers about the Pencil Museum and similar places (which do exist!) Jim, interesting as those places are, (and I will certainly make an effort to visit some of them one day), I think Lynne was looking for suggestions from OUTSIDE of the USA; last time I looked, Pennsylvania hadn't declared independence!
Unless, of course, you've moved, in which case you might want to update your profile! Au Res., Paul ____________________ Sometimes, one pack is not enough... http://www.paulbines.co.uk http://cardboardworld.blogspot.com/ http://www.cardcast.co.uk/ |

Not independent yet, last I heard Texas was working on it but not us yet I'll never get there but have a female friend who went to school in Europe, she sent me pictures from stonehedge, Some of the historic building and castles.. I think in most countries their biggest tourist traps are history related unlike here where people are distracted by string and shiney objects |

I'll be honest - I much preferred the caves at Cheddar; Wookey is aimed more at the kids!
