I wish everyone helped cut grass,etc. In my neighborhood there have been a lot of foreclosures-there are 2 houses down my street that have been empty for more than a year,the grass is really high,and I've had to call the cops because of graffiti and vandalism.The house next to me has been vacant for 6 months so I've been mowing the lawn,and the vacant lots around my house.I just want my street to look decent,and deter crime I guess it's the sign of the times.
That poor man shouldn't have been arrested maybe he should have asked permission beforehand,but instead of arresting criminals they arrest a good citizen.

Police said that Roberts elaborately staged a fire inside a locked vault so that an undeterminable amount of money would burn up, thus perhaps covering his cash shortage. However, after Roberts had set the fire and locked the vault, he realized he had left his keys inside and could not re-open the vault or lock the bank's doors or drive home. Donny Guy, 31, was arrested in Hickory, N.C., in May and charged with burglary of the Captain's Galley Seafood restaurant in a caper caught on surveillance video. Guy was immediately a suspect because he lives in an apartment about 50 yards from the restaurant, and there were two paper trails from the restaurant almost to his front door. The video revealed that, in carrying away the two cash registers in the dark, the burglar failed to notice that the spools of paper in each machine had snagged on something in the restaurant and were unraveling with each step he took. SAGINAW, Mich. — Authorities say a parolee who robbed a Michigan bank was caught when he tried to hitch a ride from an undercover police detective.

Mark E. White was arraigned Friday on charges that include bank robbery and making a false bomb threat. He is being held at the Saginaw County Jail on $755,000 bond. It was not clear whether White had an attorney. Police did not immediately return a message seeking comment Saturday.

Authorities tell The Saginaw News that White flagged down Saginaw Township Detective Scott Jackson on Wednesday after the bank robbery a few blocks away.

White was paroled June 16 after serving time for operating a vehicle while intoxicated and violating an earlier parole.

FARGO, N.D. — A man said it's a tough way to learn a lesson but he's a lot wiser. Someone made off with Mark Neary's driver's license and other items from his unlocked car early Wednesday, and left a message behind. Neary said he found a note telling him he had "amazing taste" in music.

The note said the thief had taken credit cards and his driver's license and advised him to "lock your car in the future."

Neary said it could have been worse. The keys were in the ignition and the thief could have driven off with his car.

Christopher Lister, 21, pleaded guilty to a home burglary in June in Leeds (England) Crown Court. He and two pals had attempted to steal a plasma TV in broad daylight last year, but witnesses easily identified Lister. He is 7 feet tall and lives only a few doors down from the crime scene. FRASER, Mich. — A game of Monopoly has landed a Michigan man in jail. WDIV-TV reported a 54-year-old man was playing the board game Saturday night with a female friend when he tried to buy Park Place and Boardwalk from her.

When she refused, Fraser police Lt. Dan Kolke told WWJ-AM he hit her in the head, breaking her glasses.

The man was arrested and charged with misdemeanor assault and battery.

The masked man barged into a bar and grill Sunday night pretending to have a gun.

He was surprised to find four Eau Claire Police Officers in town for the statewide police union golf tournament.

Bartender Joe Collins said Sunday night was like any other night at Quotes Bar and Grill.

That is until about 11 p.m. when a masked man burst into the bar with his hands in his pants as if he had a gun.

The customers who took the man down were Eau Claire police.

Turns out there was a police golf tournament bringing cops to Janesville from all over the state. Like many bars downtown, Quotes was filled with off-duty police.

The man was later identified as 18-year-old Alonzo Rucker.

He told police he had no intention of robbing the place, and was just wearing the bandana so people wouldn't recognize him.

Eau Claire Police Chief Jerry Matysik says the four officer were attending the union event on their own time when this happened.

Ex-inmate injured trying to sneak back into jail

SHARPES, Fla. — A former inmate in Florida was injured while trying to sneak back into jail. Sylvester Jiles suffered severe cuts from barbed wire while trying to climb a 12-foot fence at the Brevard County Detention Center Monday night. The 24-year-old former inmate was released last week from the jail after accepting a plea deal on a manslaughter charge.

He showed up at the jail Monday night and asked to be taken back into custody because he feared family members of his victim would retaliate against him. Jail officials said they couldn't take him in and told him to file a police report.

Instead, he tried to climb over the barbed-wire fence and fell in his attempt.

He remained hospitalized for his injuries Tuesday

Officer peels bag of pot from man's head

LEBANON, Pa., Oct. 19 (UPI) -- A Lebanon, Pa., man was arrested on drug charges after a police officer peeled a plastic bag of marijuana from his forehead, officials said.

Cesar Lopez, 29, walked away from the washroom in a Lebanon convenience store last weekend, intently examining the band of his cap, which he held in his hand, the Lebanon Daily News reported Sunday.

As he neared the officer, Lopez looked up. Police said the officer took the bag, which was stuck to Lopez's forehead, and asked, "Is this what you're looking for?"

Lopez faces charges of possession of a small quantity of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
