Reported on Wrestlinginc.com from Jim Ross that Chief Jay Strongbow passed away this morning. I met him quite a few times at the Boston Garden and at a local wrestling show near my city. R.I.P. Chief.

I haven't heard Chief Jay Strongbow's name in a very long time, but I remember him. Many years ago the Wrestling greats like the Russian Bear Ivan Koloff and Bruno Sammartino would do signings at small shows or card stores. I got to meet both of them and a couple of others, all retired of course, but everyone was a gentleman and quite different from their working alter-egos.

The WWE stars are just entertainers now, these guys were wrestlers. RIP Strongbow.
