In addition to handing out candy to the kids who come to my door on Halloween, I also hand out little packets of non-sport promo cards.

I take a half dozen or so different promo cards and put them in a team bag. I try to mix up the variety, so that kids who are together can actually trade with each other. At first, the kids seem puzzled by the packs they're given but I've heard a few comments as they're walking away and they seem to enjoy the cards.

The cards are something that nobody else hands out and it exposes the kids to the non-sport card hobby.

I did this last year. I put the sweets into little bags and popped in a random card from the spares I had.
