I was at a Five Below store yesterday and came across a great deal that I would share with fellow collectors.

In 2000 (according to the bottom of the Treasure Chest), NECA created a limited edition Treasure Chest from the Pirates of the Caribbean "The Curse of the Black Pearl" movie. It is fairly large in size, made of a heavy material, and is nicely lined. Take the top off and there is a small felted shelf for storing items (maybe jewelry). Remove that shelf, and there is a nicely lined area to store additional items.

Very nice. And the cost you ask? $5.00. That is it. New in box. I have no idea how much these initially retailed for, but at $5 they are a steal.

Of course, I had to buy one. The collector in me would not let me not do so. I might even go back to get one for my brother for Christmas.

This item is shown on the NECA site, so here is the image from their site for this item:

That's a great price. There's one in an eBay store for $69.99, but with free shipping. Wink

You *could* produce items featuring the International Helium Monument and try to lure the collecting market to your neighborhood instead. (You might wait for the sesquicentennial, though.)

miket999, It's a great place for my house keys and cell phone. I always seem to forget where I put these items. Old age has made me loose my mind (just ask "Wolfie" hahahahaha). Now a few friend want 1. Nice store and I spent a hundred dollars there and filled up my friends car trunk. (Early Christmas gifts). Not much in cards though - gaming cards and sports only. Thumb Up

George,

I love that store. You never know what you will find. I too spent a decent amount there. I always find something for my nieces there. I agree, not much in cards. They did have a few non-sport blister packs, but nothing I was interested in.
