I still haven't gotten a reply back from Inkworks. At this point I can assume it's a safe bet it was just a mistake, but I'm still annoyed.

Finally got a reply from Inkworks - their claim is that the P-i promos just came in and they're going to send me one now. Glad it finally got worked out, although the reply took longer than it usually does.

I'm suprised at how rare the promo cards seem to be for this set. The SC-FOA promo is looking to be a very hard find compared to previous FOA promos, and although there is a P-UK out there I have not seen one up for sale yet.

Even the P1 promos arn't as common on that auction site.

These will be freely available to anyone in the world who is not a UK based collector or dealer.

Cynical....but true.

I have no idea why.

There is a P-UK up at the moment, and the P-1 I know has just started going around, so I suspect there'll be some on the auction site soon.

I just managed to get a P-UK cheap, so I don't think these are rare. The dealer's asking price for the FOA was almost 5 times more than his asking price for the P-UK, so I'd say he had a fair few. I think it might be like the season 2 P-UK, where they were slowly fed to the public by dealers but are now frequently available for pretty cheap.

Is this the first UK promo that Inkworks has done so far this year ? I thought that they stoppped doing them, as the Family Guy IV and Smallville Season 6 sets didn't have UK promos. Right ?

There's a Smallville Season 6 promo numbered SM6-P. I know this because I have one.

I noticed that theres alot of complaining on CardTalk about UK promo availability in the UK. Well...I get the vast majority of UK promos for my collection from UK traders so I don't agree with that opinion. Now I don't expect to get UK promos for "next to nothing" so maybe thats why I don't have a problem getting them Wink

I would take exactly the same view as this if i lived in Dallas.
Imagine if you went to any of the USA shows, San Diego etc and nothing was given out free, you had to pay for every promo.

I can tell you that I don't get the majority of UK promos from UK sources. For those who have gotten UK promos from me this year I can tell you that they were all sourced in the States and not in the UK.

Well none of these promo cards really come free but I understand what you are saying. Now I need to find out where Steverino gets his UK goodies!! Big Grin

The last few UK promo's haven't been available in UK very easily. What we don't get is free cards at many shows. I assume that originally UK dealers got the promo's based on orders but I don't know who actually getsthe UK promo's.

I would be interested to know if Inkworks and Rittenhouse print fewer UK promos than the others (Internet offers, dealer and show promos)

If you look at the NSU price guide, most UK promos have a slightly higher value. That raises the question whether there were fewer printed -or- that there are just fewer in circulation? Of course I can only speculate on this point...
