Hi all,

Any info on possible SDCC 2008 promo cards? Also, any word if Inkworks will offer a promo pack on the Web this year?

Nobody has announced anything yet. If the manufacturers want us to know in advance what promos they'll be giving before the show, you can bet the news will hit these forums fast; so I would just periodically check back in. Some of the manufacturers might not be prepared to announce their cards ahead of time so you might not hear about those until the show starts.

We'll have some news of our own along these lines to announce very soon so keep an eye on the NSU forum for that.

Thanks - I was thinking specifically of the Inkworks promo pack that is released around this time every SDCC....

Usually have it up for pre-order by now I thought (about a month before the Con?)

Any word yet on promos?

Note the most recent post below on the X-Files promos from the San Diego con.

I hate to say this but it is not a good sign when it is less than 10 days till Con and there is no mention of any promos anywhere. I'm sure there will be some but no info before-hand?

I think it's been posted elsewhere that Rittenhouse will have the exclusive for Batman, so we know that there will be at least two--that one and X-Files.

There are also confirmed the 4 promos from Upper Deck for Marvel Masterpieces 2. Inkworks stated on their site that other exhibitors will be distributing Inkworks promos, so there is a good chance these will be exclusive. I know they did an exclusive for Veronica Mars and the 4400 in past years.

The info at Inkworks is that X-Files is the only exclusive promo, yet they show P1.

Where did you see the confirmation for the 4 promos?

Harris said there would be 3 + the NSU Exclusive. Is this the 4 you mean?

RA will probably have some. Topps also. Waiting for confirmation on which ones they are.

It sounds like studios that have properties that Inkworks has licenses for might have cards as well. This is a quote from Inkworks web site:
