Those who pre-ordered tickets for next year's 10th anniversary show got the following card:

1 Bonus Card - Butch Patrick

As you notice, cards 6, 11, 12 & 15 were not included in the packs of promo cards. Does anyone know anything about these cards? Where they handed out at special events, like the Card Talk breakfast? Or perhaps they were pulled, for some reason.

I've always tried to complete the CECE promo card sets, so I'm interested in knowing about the missing cards.

Just a guess but perhaps they were cards of celebrities and artists that weren't able to
be at the show?

I noticed that as well, and asked Paul on Friday. He laughed and said there was a story there, and perhaps someday he'd tell it.

Surely most of those numbers were guests who dropped out, although Orli Shoshan was not present at the show either. Some other guests like Ed Faulkner got on board too late.

Anyway, you have the full set.
By the way, I asked Scott Schwartz why his card had the grim reaper on it - that is a role he plays for the local police - He dresses as teh grim reaper and enters high school classrooms with a police officer, and picks every 15th student to represent how many of them will die in alcohol related auto accidents. It's a little more dramatic and memorable than just having a public relations officer showing a filmstrip.

I understand that older Donruss Americana promos were being handed out at the show.

What are some of the ones that people got?
