I know that in the past month or two we've seen P1 promos on Smallville, the second Walking Dead set, Big Bang Theory, and Tarzan by Crypto.

Anyone know if these sets will have multiple promos, like with the first Walking Dead and Vampire Diaries, last year ? I thought I saw something elsewhere on Card Talk that Smallville and Walking Dead, at least, would have more than just P1.

If so, what will there be, and how will they be distributed ?

Do any OTHER upcoming Crypto sets have new promos yet ???

And now there is a Vampire Diaries P5

Yes Smallville was P3 and I think there were 3 Vampire Diaries P5's at the Philly Show - no indication of where they might be distributed though - I did see one!

I was also told that in addition to the Tarzan P2, they also had a new P2 for Walking Dead, for the new set, not the 2011 one

I know that Harris mentioned the next issue of NSU would have a promo for the next Walking Dead set.

Cryptozoic is still a relative Philly Show newbee. I'm sure that their displays and table will mature along with their policy on show promos to stay competitive with other manufacturers. Aside from the Smallville P3 there were no other generally available take-aways. No other promo cards. No sell sheets etc.

Cryptozoic found a small card box of misc. promos as they were setting up. Their display materials were FedEx'd in advance. There was a handful of Vampire Diary promos, so they made their way onto the table for a few lucky collectors. The rest were just samplings of their other recent promos including the two Walking Dead and two Tarzan. These may have been given to industry insiders (dealers, etc.)

My point is that whatever else Cryptozoic had in that little box, those promos were not earmarked for general distribution at the Philly Show but elsewhere.

It's numbered P1. The woman at the Cryptozoic table said they handed them out in Chicago, but she
Had a few left. Funny that none have popped up on eBay yet

Wow, that is really disappointing. I was hoping it was still to be handed out somewhere as like you said none have popped up on ebay which I would have thought would have happened pretty much straight away, strange also that no one here spotted them at Chicago either.
I must say I'm not impressed with the way Cryptozoic handles releasing info on their promos, or for that matter, where and how they hand them out...

Thank you Jane for the info, would it be possible to put a scan or something up so we could see what we are all missing out on? Pretty Please Smile

The Crypto checklist also says that Smallville P2 was at the Chicago C2E2 show, but the two people I spoke to who attended a few weeks ago told me that they didn't see anything there...

Remember, regarding those promos that Cryptozoic had only a handful at Philly, it is not representitive of how many are left to be distributed by Cryptozoic. They are a west coast company. Their reps at the show were local to the east coast. They only had what was sent to them. If you picked up the Tarzan P2, note that it states on the back that it is/will be distributed at "ECOF". I hope I got the letters straight. Anyone know what ECOF might be?

I did an internet search and for ECOF, something came up on the official Edgar Rice Burroughs website about an ECOF show in 2012, that you can buy tickets for. Unfortunately, my computer doesn't support "cookies" and so the site didn't open all the way for me to find out exactly when and where it will be. Perhaps someone else can try ?

Just did a completed auction seach on ebay. There WERE a few Tarzan P2 promos that were up for grabs in early to mid-April. Weren't listed as Tarzan P2, but as Tarzan promo.

They sold for $6 and 9. Frown

Unfortunately, we don't find out about these things until well after the fact !
