Holy price rise.

When these went up yesterday they were $2, today they are $10.

Yep, when our seller saw how fast all 4 promos were scarfed up by one buyer here at 1.99, he realized he could be getting alot more moola for each SC-1.

The bigger surprise was that they were $2 in the first place! if I had seen them at that I would have taken them all! Given who are selling these I wouldn't have thought they would have been unaware on the rarity of this card

I'm guessing they are not really "rare" in the sense that there might have been thousands of them on one of those pallets. Inkworks printed LOTS of any P1 style card.

They probably actually guessed right at the first price. That's what they'll eventually be if they put all of them on the market. If they're willing to do a couple at a time, they'll hold some value for awhile.

I even asked him months ago if he had any (he didn't know) and explained the rarity of them. I think he just forgot. He has done that with other "rare" Inkworks cards as well.

Ed,

The seller tells me he has 30. Not 1000's like I feared. Maybe Inkworks did dispose of most of them. No way to know for sure though.

I asked about Dr Who promo's and they haven't turned up yet! I still think there might be a P-2 or P-i lurking around

Personally, I think $ 10 is a good price. This is the very first time the promo has ever shown up on ebay, to my knowledge. I spent 2 years looking for one with no success. At last I have one on the way !

Could this be the toughest Inkworks promo to find, ever ? I believe that it is, from my own experience.

Really? I would have thought that would be the Godzilla P1.

It all depends on how many actually show up - if it's the 30 + a couple that went into boxes! only time will tell

I've seen the Godzilla (regular sized) promo for sale in several places over the years. One dealer at the Philly show had it for quite some time, but no one wanted to buy it. He may still have it.

What are some of the other harder to find Inkworks promos ? The Goldeneye Hawaii promo, the Witchblade TV UK, the Kratt's Creatures B1, the Jurassic Park Aames pack, and that Men in Black variant (Suncoast, I believe) come to mind. Any others ? I'm not sure how hard the other Suncoast promos are to find these days.

I noticed that the dealer has upped his asking price again. Now $13.99. Still a bargain if less than 32 or so of these cards still exist and he is probably the only one that has these besides the couple that got out.

Got mine today and I am very pleased to have it if it is rare or not - funny thing is we would never have got this had inkworks survived!!! (I would rather they had)

If the 30 that was quoted is correct there cannot be many left now and if that figure is correct then the price is an absolute steal.

I'm glad i bought one now.

Hammer

Is your count based on auction lot sales or their website sales or both?
